I live across the street and used to eat in or order from here at least once a week. The service was always terrible, but the food was good and the prices were pretty good so I put up with it. However, a few weeks ago, I placed and order for take out and I received the wrong appetizer. When I called the restaurant, the hostess told me to keep it (which was not an option due to a food allergy) and then later said they would deliver the correct appetizer and hung up. She did not know who I was or where I lived (since I picked it up). When I called back, I had to explain the situation again, and the hostess hung up on me as I began to say my address. I finally showed up at the restaurant, and the hostess (whom I had to explain the situation to a third time) showed me a random receipt (a completely different order for delivery) and insisted my order was correct. She then dug through a pile of receipts and found mine, based on my order (which I had to repeat to her multiple times). Finally, I was given the correct appetizer. This entire ordeal took over an hour and a half and at no point did I receive any sort of apology or acknowledgement of a mistake. I haven’t been back since, and to be perfectly honest there are plenty of nearby Thai places that are just as good.

I really like going to Spice. It looks like it's made out of Legos. I think their food is really good too- my favorite things are the green jade vegetable dumplings and the pad thai or black noodles. And their lychee lemonade. Mm-mmm good. The service is a little weird, though- my friend and I went to eat there once and we had this bizarre experience where we wanted to pay in cash, and between us we had exactly the amount for the bill and a standard tip. After we paid, a manager or someone actually came to our table and said, "Was there a problem with your service tonight?" and we were confused because there wasn't, it had been fine. The manager told us we should put down a bigger tip. What?! It was a totally decent tip! That was weird. I've never had that happen. We dug up a few more bucks for a bigger tip, but we were still mightily confused. I'll still go back there, though, because I like the food. I'll just bring more singles.

It took them an hour to deliver steamed veggies and tofu, which arrived cold. It took another hour to redeliver the dinner, which when it finally came was the wrong order. After two hours, still no dinner. This place is not good, the food isn't even that great, their delivery service is an absolute joke. Don't order from Spice!
Great place for eat in or take out delivery Thai. For the price and the portions there's not much better in this neighborhood. The drunk man noodles are fantastic, also the chicken cashew nut and martini crispy shrimps.

I order Spice from work every once in awhile, and every time I regret it. It takes anywhere between 45 minutes and TWO HOURS for delivery and the food is not even that great. You think you are getting a great deal with an appetizer included with the entree, but what they make the entrees so small that I am always hungry afterwards. For $7.50 plus tax and tip, you can do much better in terms of quality, quantity, and delivery time.

This is some of the best Thai food in the neighborhood. The curries (especially Massaman) are delicious and the special entries (I've tried several fish and chicken dishes) are all very flavorful and cleanly prepared. And the appetizers: let’s just say we’ve made entire meals of just appetizers! The curry puffs are mind blowing and the spring rolls fresh and tasty with a sweet complex dipping sauce! I wish I could say as well for the atmosphere and service. There isn’t a soft surface in the place so the sound level is deafening. The tables are crowded together tighter than most. And the service is forgetful and curt. We have waited 20 minutes to have all our dishesappetizers, entrees and all-delivered at once. We do better to have it delivered to the quiet of our home around the corner. The delivery guys are way more together than the wait staff on site.

Drunken man noodles was top notch. One of the better noodle dishes I've had. The fresh basil really flavored the dish. However, the sirachi sauced dish (forget the name) was not spicy at all, but was fresh. Appetizers were decent, nothing special.. It seemed busy inside but we were seated quickly. The plum wine is a great way to end a somewhat spicy meal.
