    Could be BETTER

I have been here numerous of times and didn't really like the fact that the location was so small and it felt very cramped. I noticed they had moved about 3 blocks down to a bigger spot. The service at this new place is not good. They tried seating us by the door, which people kept having the door open and I was FREEZING to death. Thank God that we complained and got moved to a better spot, even though I couldn't really feel the heat in this place. The service is much worse than what it use to be. The waiter kept ignoring us...the food took forever and when it came it was COLD and the waiter forgot our drinks.

    cheap thai food

the food is overrated. the place is trendy bc NYU is right around the corner so this is usually a 20's hangout spot. sometimes you might catch a few teens wanting to grow up too fast there as well. on busy nights it can take up to an hr+ to get seated, if you get lucky you can get seated right when you walk in. its hard for them to accomodate groups of 6+ because the seats are made for 2's and 4's and 5's are okay too. the menu is priced relatively affordable and the food is okay. nothing to rave about. ive had better thai food. the thai iced tea, is really sweet and good. i think most appetizers are really good but the entrees are lacking some edge. its just plain food with nothing special. the appetizers taste better than the entrees which is not something good for a restaurant. theres a lot of hype about this place which makes it very trendy. other than that, its thai food that is cheap and affordable to the college students.

    All downhill

I also have been a loyal customer for a few years and have noticed the quality of the food has definitely suffered. Not only that but the delivery is slow, not prepared as ordered and the manager has no customer service skills. Even though I have brought these things to their attention, nothing changed and they were very clear they didn't care about customer satisfaction. I strongly recommend finding another restaurant.

    Going downhill

I've been a loyal Spice eater for years now, but no more. The quality of food has really been on the decline for the past year, and it went too far on my last takeout meal. My pad thai was way too seasoned with grease or something with chemicals, as it tasted literally like dishwashing liquid. It was inedible. I was hoping my appetizer would salvage my meal, the shrimp & chicken shumai (my usual favorite) but I ended up biting into a HUGE chicken bone. It wasn't even a small, ground up bone it was the size of a baby tooth. You can keep making the rice portions smaller and smaller, but really, Spice, please better regulate the quality of your ingredients.

    Had a good time

We ordered a bunch of appetizers, i love the calamari and martini shrimp, except the summer roll, taste very bland. The pad thai was good but certainly not the best. I love their salmon dish. Their thai ice tea was good, it was a little bit too diluted. Overall, we had a good time. A spot I would frequent more.

    Love It!

I have been eating here for such a long time and think it's one of my favorite places to dine out. I have never had a bad experience (minus the uncomfortable chairs), and the Green Chicken Curry is AMAZING! I also love the Hawaiian Ginger Pineapple dish. They also have really good drinks - alcoholic and non alcoholic. I think everyone should try their Lychee Thai Iced Tea. I get it everytime I go to Spice. All in all, it's just too good to pass up.
