Not recommended
The food is ok (over priced), but the management/service is awful. They had a happy hour advertisement (on the beeper they give you while waiting for a table), but when the bill came they told us that the happy hour specials didn't start until next year. Yet I asked them about their advertisement - they acknowledged that it was misleading, yet all they would do is say "sorry" with a big smile on their face. They were in no way willing to honor the advertised pricing. Spice is customer service at its worst. I will never eat there again; unless the management changes. Even then, probably not. Don't waste your time or your money.

sub par dumplings
Went for lunch special after reading reviews. Not good. The dumplings were 100% microwaved-dried out and leathery. And the fried appetizers were also microwaved, rubbery and not crispy.

This place was great!
First off let me say the Bartender may be the best bartender in NYC! Dude was fast, friendly and knew how to make a good Mojito! Second staff was friendly and worked hard to make your visit great. Third...Food!! All I can say is wow! We had eight people and ordered many items off the menu. Everything was great. Last PRICE.... are you kidding me??? GREAT VALUE! Go there!

Great lunch special
Came here last week and had the chicken pad Thai lunch special. The meal was great and it came with an appetizer all for under $10. Highly recommend.

food okay, service not, especially the lady that handles the phones.
I have eaten at Spice a few time on their E13th Street location. My first time there was pleasant: the food was great, the service was quick. But subsequent visits were less than steller. The last time I had ordered from there for a pick-up, they left out an item. I called back and they said that they would give me a "special" price the next time I ordered. I called back for a delivery the following week and noted my address and telephone number and the lady said that there was not such note or items left out previously for that particular telephone number. Like I was pilfering for a free meal. Not like the food was great anyways but never again will I shed a dime on this place. Bad service, food taste, quality, and quantity going down the tubes.

Five Stars Across the Board
This restaurant is one of my favorite places to dine. Why? It garners straight 5 stars when it comes to the food quality (absolutely delicious; try the curry puffs!), the atmosphere (quiet, yet conversational ambiance with lively background music), the value ($10 per main dish; EXCELLENT value for such delicious and well-proportioned dishes), and the service (I was never without a full glass of water or a diligent waiter/waitress at my discretion). I never leave dissatisfied nor hungry.
