Not worth the wait...
A co-worker and I waited for over 50 minutes to get our food because they accidently gave our order to someone else. By the time they had it ready we had to package it up and take it back to the office. The restaurant refused to give us a discount or anything else for our trouble. It is understandable that there was an accident but how it was dealt with was very unprofessional.

Awesome Food, crowded place
The food is awesome, no wonder there are so many people there. I guess it goes hand in hand. The staff are nice and the food is very affordable especially for NYC.

Amazing
When I came to NYC for college, I had never really experienced different kinds off food. I was brought to Spice my freshman year and fell in love. I've been there probably a dozen times in the past 2 years. The food is absolutely incredible, and I always leave stuffed. Most of all, the prices are great. Pad Thai, which is what I almost always get, is around $10. Trendy environment, however it can be a little crowded. Never really had a problem with the service either.

excellent place!
Loved this place! Great food, even better prices, good atmosphere and a cheap wine menu - who could ask for more?!

Great food, great drinks... ok service..
My friend and I went here on a Saturday night and the place was PACKED. It was also during a tropical storm so that could have led to the crowd. While waiting for a table (only 15 mins), we grabbed a drink at the bar and both drinks were great! Try the Lychee Mojito if they have it on the menu that day. The food was amazing! For an appetizer we had the thai crepes that were delicious! There werent that many but for $4 it was perfect. For dinner I had the Panang Curry and my friend had one of their specials with mussles. Both dishes were delicious and we couldnt stop commenting on how GREAT the food was. You definitely get a lot for you money and I still had some left over that I couldnt finish. The only complaint we had was when we tried to order dessert. Service was very good up until then. After we ordered dessert (only a bowl of ice cream!) it took a good 15 or 20 minutes to be served. No one would come around for us to even ask about the delay. Since it was at the meal though, it kind of put a damper on the whole night. I would definitely go here again. Definitely a young college crowd the night we went.

Fantastic Thai Food
I've been to Spice to several times and recommend it to all of my friends. The food here is great tasting, well-presented, and of good portion size. The restaurant has a casual, youthful ambience. The exotic cocktails are well worth a try. It's a great place for a casual night out with the prices that won't make your wallet hurt.

Mmmmm!
Spice is my favorite thai restaurant in the city! While the restaurant itself is almost always crowded, its cute and the atmosphere is really lively The food is delicious and really flavorful and one of the best values in the city. I would recommend the black noodles and the spice salad. While lots of reviewers have said its popular because its cheap and in a college area, additionally, the food is just good! and is consistently so. definitely try it out.
