    Great food, fast delivery

They are so quick with lunch deliveries it's great. Its one of the best values for lunch going. Love the shrimp fritters as a starter. A little noisey when you eat in, but that is the only bad thing you could say. Love em.

    Yummy food, great price

My husband and I go here (or rather order from here) all the time. Everything I have had at Spice is great. My husband (a very picky eater) loves the black noodles. I love the green curry. Eating at the restaurant is fun too, good atmosphere and the lunch deal is unbelievable -- less than $7 for app. and entree.

    Great food for cheap

Spice is a great place to get your thai fix. Good food at a reasonable price.

    Dinner with friends

I went to dinner with 4 friends for my birthday in December. We had a wait a while on a Thursday evening, as they were packed and it was really cold outside. The place is loud with voices, but it adds to the ambiance. The drinks we ordered when we sat were pretty good (bellinis, etc.) as were the appetizers - small spring rolls and other dumplings. I had the griled salmon w/ sweet and sour sauce. It was truly excellent, and my friends who tried it agreed. The pad thai was average, but I would definitely go back. Great for small groups or a first date.

Decent Food, Poor Service & Poor Delivery

I've been eating at Spice for several years and the food has always been pretty good but the Service in the restaurant is usually bad and so I decided to order take-out tonight. Now I find out that the delivery is also bad. We ordered Pad Thai, Thai Iced Tea and Massaman Curry. We did not receive the Thai Iced Tea and we did not receive the rice for the Massaman Curry. We then had to wait over 30 minutes just to get the part of our order that we already paid for. And this was only after calling for the 3rd time to try to get the rest of our order. By the time the delivery guy showed up with the rest of our order, our food was cold and we received no recompense for the crappy service.

    Veteran Spice-goer

I heart spice. The food is great and you get so much quality food for your money. Those are the things that keep me coming back. HOWEVER, the waitstaff quality has declined...new waiters/waitresses don't listen, argue with you about what you order, forget to bring you water and flatware, and get this- argue with you about what tip you leave! What nerve! I'm a standard 15% tipper, unless I really don't like the service. One night, when I had to repeatedly stay on top of the waiter, I decided to tip only 10%. Can you believe the hostess stopped us at the door and said "People usually tip more than this"? If you can get over the apparent lack of finesse of the waitstaff, you can score some really great food, for not a lot of money, and in a reasonable amount of time. Also, it gets crowded and really loud, but happy eating!

    Go for lunch

The lunch specials can't be beat especially around NYU. It's the perfect atmosphere and great place to go with friends. Even when they are very busy, you can always be seated in 10-15 minutes. I always bring visitors here for the great lunch value and a very NYC experience, and get take out all the time.
