Can not believe this is a THAI Restaurant!
I was trying to order over the phone for lunch today 11/14/12 at work but the lady over the phone was trying to rush me and would also talk over me. She wouldn't let me finish my sentence and she was ready to hang up the phone without my card number. After she asked for my card number, she hung up the phone right away without saying thank you or seeing if i had anymore questions. 2 mins later she called me back saying my card didnt go through. That's probably cause she wouldnt listen to me completely. Alsp, I wanted to know if someone would call me to let me know that my order is here; she completely spoke over me and straight up asked me for my card number again. I asked her, "why would you let me finish talking?", she said "okay, card number please". I asked her to cancel my order. It was ridiculous. I later went to the restaurant and complained to the manager about their phone service and instead of apologizing, he made excuses for his staff. The food is not fresh and the people are not looking to improve themselves. The only good thing about this place is that it is cheap but if youre looking for some quality thai food..this isn't this place! I won't be ordering from here again, NOT even i'm on a low budget.

not what it use to be
Spice in union square was originally on university place. Always packed, great food, extremely fast with good service. When they relocated to 13th street the quality of the food was not the same, neither was the service and the cleanliness. I have eaten there many many times always hoping that it will somehow change & go back to the Spice USQ like I remember. Not recommended, unless you are looking for an inexpensive lunch with a questionable taste.

Great food
We eat here all the time and the food is always great, takeout is prompt and always accurate. The restaurant can get very busy on weekends and there can be a long wait with slow service. But prices are low for this quality food, that's why they're often packed.

Not recommended
Not only were we seated and overlooked as people that came in after us ordered but we waited for our food for about an hour before we just got up and left. On top of it all the manager had an attitude.

Salty salty..
I went there for lunch special with a friend and ordered Pad Thai and Red curry. Pad Thai was okay but their red curry was wayy too salty.. I would avoid ordering curry from there.

Don't really recommend this place for dinner.
The food is always salty or not cooked well. the service is 0 and the plates and sporkive are not clean. The only thing I liked better then other was the crispy dumplings. So even though your really crazy about dumplings it's not recommended. there are a lot of nice and cleaner and better Thai food around union square. It is better then the street vendors food for lunch comparing with the price you pay~~
