Best BUN
I agree with the other reviewers. Their Lunch menu is the best. I usually order two so I have leftovers for dinner the next day. The stir fry dishes all kinda taste the same but their BUN is delish! On hot summer days I love to order this dish because its like an asian salad. Doesn't make you hot and is a really healthy meal.

Sweet & Sour Tamarind Duck?
I ordered tamarind duck and the fried (beyond recognition) "boneless" meat I got were fat slabs, melted bones, and a hint of meat for $15.95. The sauce was sweet and sour sauce; no attempt at tamarind. The tom soup for $4 was good. 4 skewers of beef sate were rare and good. ($5.95). Chicken pad thai was OK, decent portion with varied ingredients ($9.50). Beef com chien was also OK ($6.95). Curry rau chi ($8.75) was tasty and ample. All portions were fairly large. Service was very good; atmosphere was simple. But a tragically prepared duck ruined my meal.

Phantastic
After a week of trying 5 different highly-reviewed Vietnamese restaurants from menupages, my favorite was Spice Noodle. First off, you can't beat their lunch special. A ton of food, plus your choice of a spring roll or soda. Fast and friendly service. I recommend shrimp skewer appetizer, seafood salad, curry, and bun. But stay away from the basil chicken... not enough flavor- although i did get it with tofu, so that could be why.

Not terrible but won't order from them again
There are few restaurants in the east 90s that deliver after 10 PM so I called Spice Noodle only because Chinese Merch (which I adore) was closed on Monday and nothing Asian (other than expensive sushi) was open. I ate the food but with no real relish. I'm on a vegetarian jag this week (though I like meat, just not from cheap restaurants). I ordered the vegetarian curry. I liked the way they fried the tofu but the curry sauce was heavy and not too tasty. The vegetables were soggy and overcooked. The spring roll was so so and they put the sauce with the salad so I didn't notice it until after I had already ate the rolls dry. Ugh! . I will certainly not order from Spice Noodle again, though I will say they answered the phone efficiently and were quick to get here. So if you need food and don't want to go out to get it, and you're in the desert of the East 90s, well, it could be worse.

Check this place out if you miss Saigon Grill!
My husband was thrilled when I told him about this place. I got him the Bo Luc Lac beef cubes - he said they were just as good, if not better, than the long missed Saigon Grill. We've ordered regularly from here, and the food and service is always excellent. Other regular items we get are curry ga, chicken satay and summer rolls. The restaurant is tiny and sparsely decorated. There never seems to be anyone dining in, but they've been open for several years now - so their take-out must be their lifeline (as we can attest). Please give this place a shot! You wont' regret it...
