This tiny Indian restaurant might have the best special on 6th street. The food is incredible in such a good price...The food is very flavorful and the service is great!!! The only reason I am giving them four star is because the wait staff is difficult to understand but other than that, everything is awesome about this place. Very attentive service, amazing curry dishes and the best chicken Tandoori in NYC....The chicken is marinated with yogurt sauce and seasoned with tandoori masala. Its moderately hot, has a red hue and is served with sizzling platter..... Overall, great little spot for some delicious Indian food.. Definitely coming back with good food and attentive service....xoxo

Spice Cove is a hole-in-the-wall kind of setting with a very cozy, homely feel. The staff was rather keen on providing exquisite Indian fare for ALL types of diets, along with a side of courtesy and Far East charm. Prices are THRU THE ROOF affordable, and birthday specials are especially good for those wishing to celebrate in style. I recommend some overhead/background music to support the comfortable and casual ambiance in the Cove. Comfortable seating. The level of spiciness can be tapered to the individual taste. Reservations make the seating+dining process smoother. VERY REASONABLE Prix-Fixe option too.

I had my birthday here last year. The good, they were very nice, it was a VERY good value, and the service was nice. The only downside is I asked them to go a little crazy with the menu and they made some tame choices. But the food was tasty, the coconut dishes super coconutty, and they were really nice. Did I mention with BYOB it is a REALLY good deal. Honestly delivery dinner was a bit better actually.

It is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the city . I eat from Spice Cove at least twice a month for the past year; I have yet to eat something unsatisfying. The tikka is so tender, just perfect, every dish has so much flavor. I introduced my friend to Indian food for the first time, of course, I had her try Chicken Makhani and Lamb madras from Spice cove, now, it is easily one of her favorite foods ever. Spice cove is just ...heavenly.....(sigh)

About once every year or two I order delivery from this place to see if it's gotten any better. This time instead of just being vaguely dissatisfied with mediocre Indian food, I was genuinely outraged. Undercooked banana pakora and poori, chicken shahi korma that was a) flavorless and b) made up of rock hard, dry chunks of chicken. This was the poorest Indian delivery meal I've ever gotten...and this place was never particularly good to begin with.

As an Indian I am embarrassed that this is how the restaurant is presenting "Indian food" to New Yorkers. Every item On the menu has the same taste- that of rubber, which canned curry sauce poured over it. With the $16.95 platter I was served dollar store pita bread NOT naan..really? So surprised to see the 4 star rating.

By far one of the Best Indian restaurants in the city and on Curry Row. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The menus were beautiful an the whole restaurant had beautiful aspects of India. We started with the Lamb Kebab appetizer. It was an eruption of flavor in my mouth. I had never tasted something so delicious. For the entree, I ordered Chicken Korma. It was flavorful and the quantity was huge. Never in Indian restaurants in NYC do you get large servings, not even at the expensive places. There was also another great part of the menu, prix fix. For a cheap price, you can get a taste of 3 of the entrees, which gives you more than enough food. Will visit again very soon.
