Order and eat from there often usually don't get soup from the lunch special but today i had a cold and asked them if they could send me a soup without shrimp since im allergic to shell fish, (as well soups in restaurants are usually already made so didn't think it would be a big deal) The manager was the person that answered the call she yelled at me about substituting a soup i told her i order there all the time. Anyways now i order from somewhere else.

I have been a lovyal customer to this restaurant for about 2 years. Tonight officially has terminated any further business with this restaurant. On principal. The person taking my order hung up on me twice, she then told me that the manager returns to the restaurant only once a week? Being that I manage a restaurant myself i know that this is not only not able to happen but so disturbing as i have no idea who supervises your food quality and employees? I never take time to write a review but just upset by tonights service. This was my favorite place to order from. I will certainly be passing the word that not only was this inappropriate but certainly a disaster. we all work hard all day, to be spoken to so dismissively. This will be my last visit there hopefully you can coach your staff to be more...aware? Simply just wanted to order food and recieve. All of my friends LOVE this place but never again will they buy from. goodluck

My wife & I ate at Spice and two lunch specials. There are 15 entrees on the lunch menu. Each special includes a choice of appetizer (soup, salad as well as vegetarian and non-vegetarian fritters, spring rolls and dumplings) and a serving of rice for the dishes not containing noodles. Entrees are priced at $7.50 if chicken, beef or vegetables are added and $ 8.50 if shrimp is added. We had the Vegetarian Dumplings, the Vegetarian Spring Rolls, the Curry with vegetables and tofu, and Eggplant with Holy Basil with Shrimp. The food was flavorful, well spiced, served hot and quickly. Our server informed us that the restaurant does not use fish sauce in any of its dishes. Consequently, vegetarians will have greatly increased options. There are many superior Thai restaurants in the Upper East Side and Spice is one them. We are looking forward to our next meal there.

Great place! My friend and I loved everything we ordered. The wine was good and very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is very cute. Highly recommended!

I have been very happy with my experiences at Spice. Before this location I was a loyal fan of the 2nd Ave location (near 73rd). However I prefer this Spice better because it is a more airy and open restaurant. The food is consistently very good and a great value for your money-- especially the lunch special.

Their salad was simply some iceburg lettuce with gniger dressing, the noodle dish I had was probably ronzoni pasta with curry on top and the other main course was dried out steak.
