    Stellar!

I ate there June 2012. I can't imagine there are any less than amazing reviews. I am a Thai freak for 27 years. I've eaten Thai all over the country and this place was excellent. The service was phenomenal. Anyone can take your order. The busboy fills your water constantly. A guy from the kitchen brings your food. It was all teamwork. Food was hot, generous portions, and way inexpensive for NYC. I had a softshell crab spring roll that was heavenly. I had Papaya salad which had the perfect amount of spice. And I had Red Curry vegetables. All amazing. I am addicted.

    fast, cheap, tasty

The spare ribs -- get the spare ribs. Generous portion of well cooked ribs. Also the veg. egg foo young...best in the neighborhood. Also like the moo shu veges. We order from Spice at least 2 x per mo. and will continue.

    Spice is Nice

I came upon Spice quite by accident. I was in dire need of crispy orange beef and Spice is the only restaurant that carries this dish. Perfection! Except that the dish could be a bit more spicy and needs a touch more of the tamarind that gives it its delectable flavor. Other than that they deliver quickly. It is best to tip them well. Especially in bad weather. I highly recommend Spice. <3

Nothing special about this place. Typical Chinese takeout. More the reason why they should be more polite to their customers in order to stand out against their competition.

    Food Ok customer service poor

Food is good and now finally they are starting to give out free soda. The people on the phone do not provide good service. I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak and was given Mozzarella Sticks.I assume they are confusing Cheese Sticks with Cheese Steak.I had a hilirious ramble with the gentlemen on the phone when and i still got my order wrong. Please dont offer American food if u can not pronounce it

Customer service needs to be improved

I recently moved to the neighborhood and have been ordering from Spice...tonight I placed an order and was told two things (bubble tea and plantains) were no longer available so i said to the woman on the phone to hold for one second so I could figure out what else I wanted and was told "No! I have other people waiting I will not wait"...so i cancelled the order and they have lost my business...what is happening when people are so rude with you because they have changed their menu and don't let you know. Terribly rude woman on phone!! I will not do business there again...

    America was built on competition.

I agree with CFFT's comments that New Gam Lai was better. The food was better and the staff was friendlier. I do not agree with his comments about why all other Chinese take outs on the UWS are out of business. It's not due to competition, it is due to greedy landlords which had forced all other mom and pop businesses out of the area. This has been going on for years. I can remember when almost all stores on the UWS was family run. Now they are all chain stores. Competition keeps prices low and quality of products high. Since competition does not exist here , Spice is giving you sub par food and service while charging higher prices. I believe if competition came back, Spice would be put out of business.
