    slow delivery

I ordered from Spice last night for the first time and was extremely disappointed with the food. The summer rolls were completely bland they contained a tiny, tiny piece of tofu and the rest was carrots and celery. The rice wrapper around the roll was also terrible it was completely dried out and way too thick. I can understand that they may not make them fresh at the restaurant, but the quality was so poor that they seemed stale. I also ordered the seafood salad, which I couldn't even eat. The calamari was either too tough or too mushy (which was disgusting) and the shrimp was really soft. On top of everything, the delivery took over an hour (which could explain the state of the food when it arrived). Overall, I would not recommend Spice and I will not be ordering from there again.

    Great food & cheap

Yes the service is slow and you have to wave down your waiter to get your order in or ask for water, but once you have ur order in the food comes fast and its delicious. I've tried most of the curry dishes, drunk man noodle and the dumplings as appetizers.. Yummy! To also mention, the price is great! If you are patient with the service I highly reccomend it as a sit down. Careful w/ large parties on a weekend evening, the wait could get long.

    Slowest delivery on the UES

The food at Spice is very good. But, unfortunately, they are incredibly slow to deliver it. It can take well over an hour, and like other people have said on this site, it arrives cold. I don't know what the problem is there, but I hope they can fix it, because I would like to continue ordering from them.

    Lunch time delivery

I work in the neighborhood and we order from Spice a couple of times a month. We have NEVER had a smooth delivery experience. Delivery has never taken less than 1 hour. Today we ordered and the food was cold...not lukewarm, but cold. It's too bad because the food is actually good. But today was the last straw.

    be careful

I ate there on a Saturday night and was terribly disappointed. The food was acceptable but the service was horrible. It took forever to get the waiter to take the order, even longer to get a soda and tea and then the long wait for the soup and appetizer. By the time the main meal came, I was totally frustrated. The waiter could not have cared less and never once apologized for the wait or even bothered to ask if I enjoyed any part of the meal. We had ordered two soups and when he brought the drinks he brought me a spoon. I wondered why he hadn't brought a spoon for my companion but had a great deal of trouble getting the waiter's attention. It was about 15 minutes for the soup to come and they did bring two but I couldn't believe how this guy was ignoring me. The place seemed to be more interested in their take out service which was bustling while diners in the place waited, and waited, and waited and waited. THEN they had the audacity of ADDING AN 18% TIP. This was for 2 people, not a party of six. I complained and they did eliminate the extra surcharge but it was insane.

    Great easy and clean

Great Thai food on the upper east Side the place is clean and the food can be healthy if you order correctly. The duck salad is amazing but us better when eaten at the restaurant

    Great little Thai spot

I love this little Thai place. The decor is very chic and romantic while the food is plentiful and the value for your money is great. I highly recommend the curry dishes and pad thai. Also, the lunch special is amazing-- an app and entree for only $7-- this deal can't be beat!
