and am very pleased! Woman who took my order over the phone was polite and sweet (as is rarely the case in NYC) even when I asked to pay with my card. Delivery arrived within 15 min, and i live several blocks away. Food was delish! (sauteed mixed veg with chicken and brown sauce) and the portion size was satisfactory. Thumbs up, will be ordering again from here!

Having lived in Chelsea I used to order from this place all the time. Green papaya salad, pad thai..and I was never dissapointed. I went there few days ago and the food was really bad, I ordered my fav salad and it was no where close to what it used to be. Padthai tasted as if I made it from a package..and the service was unfriendly. This place was my FAVORITE hang-out with my chelsea friends and now it became a thai McDonnalds. WE WANT THE PREVIOUS CHEF BACK!!!!!

As you choose a place on a Sunday afternoon, be aware that this is one of the very few restaurants in the neighborhood that offers nothing that even vaguely resembles a brunch option- a very odd policy decision, given how early it opens in the day. Surely some people on the pacific rim of the world eat food that resembles breakfast.

Ok so I assumed that because spice is a successful chain pad thai restaurant that their pad thai would be good. Wrong! It tasted like corn syrup had been poured all over the dish. Instead of chopped peanuts I found two tiny clumps of peanut butter. Random brown vegetables and broccoli stem!?!?I'm still worried about the eventual sugar crash that's going to happen in a few hours!!

I've been ordering here for years and the consistency in service is incredible. I don't know a faster delivery service in the city. The lunch special is unbeatable and you can bet on your favorite dish always tasting as you like it.

The best Spice food in the area. Lunch specials are very affordable. Dinner isn't too bad either. Love all of their noodle dishes. They tend to rush a little bit on busy nights if you eat their, but their delivery is very very fast. Any faults they may have, which are few are made up for in the great tasting food!

I live in the neighborhood and have been coming here for over 5 years. Love the food but continually have problems with the service. Especially with takeout and delivery. I eat at the 8th ave restaurant at least once a week but each time I walk in this place it's as if they've never seen me before. There's absolutely no attention paid to whether you are a long time customer or the guy who's just visiting from Ohio. That lack of attention is never a good thing - for a restaurant, or any business. And it often shows in how frequently one's order is wrong, or how what one orders is not what is delivered. Often times the wait staff or the folks who answer the phone are downright rude. I've sometimes been put on hold for so long that I've hungup and ordered from somewhere else. Spice owners - no matter how popular you may be right now, there will come a time when you will close your doors because you've alienated your neighborhood regulars.
