Went there first time with my friend and we ordered chicken souvlaki and pork souvlaki in a pita. The chicken souvlaki were small pieces dark colored cut off of a chicken leg...and the pork was also very small pieces full of fat looking like the remainings. The second time my brother and my mom ordered lamb gyro, and a pork souvlaki... Payed 40$ for that food and his stomach is still hurting! Terrible too much money for bad non greek food. Embarrassment of our food.

We weren't fans of the first location but decided to try this one anyway. It was worse! Lunch cost $40 for 2 people! All we had was souvlaki platter and a soda. Salad was wilted, fries under cooked, meat was scraps and tiny. This is not true Greek food. Could have had 2 cheeseburger deludes from diner for half the price and not been hungry.

This place has very authentic greek food, they put all the right spices and herbs to make their food taste as close as possible to the food in greece. Try the pork souvlaki and the octopus, very good stuff and their tzatziki is on point. Bravo sas!

I just moved to Brooklyn and was told about this place from my fiancee. I would say Greek is my one of my favorite genre's of food. I figured it would be like any other sit down greek restaurant and i was wrong. I usually get the gyro with greek fries. The price with a drink comes to less then 12 dollars. The amount of food they give you is well worth the amount. The service isnt always the greatest and you might have to wait a little bit longer for your food but I think its well worth it. This is the only place in Brooklyn I have tried that I am a regular repeat customer. Keep up the good work.

We visited spartan souvvlaki after reading good reviews online but I must say I am highly disappointed. I am Greek American and my family from sparta and this food is not worth the trip! Our souvlaki was so dry we choked on the chicken. The meat tasted like charcoal.I do not recommend to anybody to visit here. After waitress asking if we were satisfied and we told her we were not happy she did not offer another replacement from menu or a credit. She told us we ordered it well done which is why it tasted like that. She went on to say "what did you expect a juicy souvlaki?" Ahhhh yes! We responded isn't that how its supposed to taste? We have no idea why people like this place they obviously have not eaten souvlaki in astoria ! I have eaten better street food then this place. East a shame.
