Sparks Steak House

I can't help but laugh at people who complain about the small portions. Have they checked the price of beef these days? To those who proclaim that there are better steaks elsewhere - I only found Peter Luger to have better beef. Also, Sparks has very good fish for those in the group who do not want red meat. A member of my party recently had the king salmon, which was very fresh and cooked just right. I've eaten here four or five times this year and have not been dissappointed once.

but their 2 1/2 lobsters were prepared to perfection (broke the bank but on client entertainment!). the steaks are poor. juicy yes but not tender, I think poor cut of beef I'd say. everything was overpriced tho the lobsters were worth it as 3 of us devoured our meal. the other 5 had steak from rare to medium, all were not happy. save your biz expense go elsewhere!

The selection of steaks is limited, they don't offer a porterhouse or t-bone, which is the signature steak in many other restaurants. The service was slow even though the restaurant was only marginally full at 9:30 on a Friday night. The sliced steak bordelaise was good, but not special. The sides were pedestrian at best. The appetizers were over-priced and over-rated. If the price of a meal is not a factor, then perhaps you'll enjo Sparks more than I did.

Not the best steak I've had and service was very slow. Slighly overpriced in general. Like the decor and the wine list.

I've been to most of the Steakhouses in NYC and their steak is one of the best I've had. They're not the biggest portions, and it is expensive, but taste-wise its awesome. And the sevice was very good.

There are a lot of better steakhouses in new york. the steak was small,as was the seafood.shrimp cocktail consists of 4 average size shrimps for $18.00.the cheesecake was just o.k.save your time and money.

It was not as good as it used to be. The service is not good. The white wine is not chilled. There are many places much better than Sparks.
