Pretty good food, pretty bad music.

The food was decent enough - smoked turkey for me, pulled pork sandwich for him - but the music was the most godawful noise I've heard since the 1990's! That's probably because it was all mid 90's grunge-lite Pearl Jam, Collective Soul garbage played loud all night long. An evening of back-to-back *NSYNC music would have been better than this.

    No wash and dries

After eating spare ribs, which were very good I asked for wash and dries. The waitress said that they were out them. This was at 6PM on a Saturday evening. Other than that I will come back. The food and the service was good. Please tell them to get wash and dries.

    Must visit!

Myself and my partner walked in off the street for dinner a bit dubious, expecting another tourist trap, but were pleasantly surprised! We were seated straight away and had a wonderful waitress! Rather than allowing us to order what we had intended ( a ridiculous amount of food) she cautioned us that the king platter was in fact enough for two! It was delicious! We also had a pitcher of beer and had no room left for dessert! Coming from Ireland we reverted the bill back to euro, all inclusive it came to 45 euro which we found extremely good value for the quantity of food and excellent service! We will definitely recommend to any friends traveling to ny!

    Never again

Went there for the first time yesterday & I was a lil excited being I live in the neighborhood & it's good to see something new instead of all these damn Thai spots!! So we are seated first I ordered the strawberry margarita while my friend ordered the mango margarita. The waitress came back and said there isn't anymore strawberry. Ok no problem understandable even tho that's what I really wanted. & I opted or the Mango bc the drink my friend had was good!! About 3 mins later she comes back & states they have no more mango his was the last mango margarita.. Can we say annoyed!! So she tells me they only have lime, coconut, & peaches *allergic*.. I also already had placed my buffalo shrimp order which I decided to cancel.. All in all my friend had the pulled chicken it reminded me of the pulled chicken and beef they sell in the packs at the supermarket.. Nothin special. Fries were good tho. I doubt I will ever go back there again... Maybe for lunch hopefully they'll have enough drinks!!

    Service was great

The server and wine steward were both extremely accommodating. We were told the chicken would take a longer time as the fryer wasn't working properly so the waitress brought over 2 appetizers on the house. When we were undecided about wine, the steward made us taste several. All the food was delicious and i have recommended it to several people. The NY Daily News just named it the second best restaurant for BBQ. So I would say give it a try....but sit in the back if you don't like a lot of noise.

    Hostesses need improvement

Echoing what was said on 2/24, there were 3 hostesses and none of them seemed to have any idea what they were doing. Open tables as far as the eye could see and yet they sent everyone to wait at the bar for 10-15 minutes. The manner in which they interacted with customers didn't win them any awards either. That being said, serving staff was good and the food was too. Portions are generous, so we split a combo plate and were happy. We especially liked the baby back ribs. Skip the collard greens which were over salted and unedible.

    Overpriced, undersized, tourist trap

I ordered lunch to be delivered; it arrived quickly. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for the flavor to show up. They charged extra for mac & cheese side (tho' menu says brisket platter includes "any 2 sides"), but it was just standard fare. Collard Greens were watery. fried pickle chips were over-breaded and soggy. And the meat? 3.5 pieces of thinly sliced, fatty, tepid meat of no distinction. With tax & tip, this "meal" was over $30. Seriously?
