Don;t GO
Ordered lamb porterhouse medium rare, emphasizing make sure it is not medium or medium well and received a medium well cold piece of meat. The pasta Vongle had noe sauce and was baked dry. Both were uneaten. I knew the service was in trouble when the waiter did not know what a Cornish hen was. we were there early and informed the waiter we had an eight o'clock performance but the service was so slow that we could barely finish our meal and had to leave before dessert and coffee. This very expensive place is a must miss.

Spectacular
This place is a bit pricey but it's AMAZING. The service is very welcoming and comforting. The food is amazing. Tried 2 entrees & a dessert-- both were great!

Fantastic, will go here again
Fantastic business lunch with me, my boyfriend and my boyfriend's boss. The pre-fix was elegantly crafted, the appetizer soup was light and fresh with nuanced flavors and the steak was savory. To top that off the chef came out to say a personal thank you with complimentary cookies (also delicious). My favorite part: the decadent chocolate dessert (just enough to be sinful) and approval from the boss that she will come back here again. Only precaution: while the views from the window tables are amazing, the seats are not comfortable enough to eat in, best advice sit at the "grown-up" tables in the back

Perfect Easter Brunch
I dined at South Gate this year for Easter and the experience was perfect! The room was absolutely stunning, the service was flawless, and the food was incredible, we kept going back for more! And you could because it was unlimited appetizers and desserts! The staff was extremely friendly. It is so nice to be able to go to a nice fine dining restaurant where they openly welcome your children. The huge floor to ceiling windows looking at the park were a perfect way to start the day, plenty of natural light in a beautiful restaurant. I can't wait to go back for Mother's Day!

Quality Restaurant - Must see
We tried this place when a friend was staying in the hotel, and it is honestly one of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time. Great atmosphere, attentive staff and amazing food. Not cheap but for me it's a must see.

A Wonderful Experience
Discovered South Gate during Restaurant Week and have been back three times for lunch. The food is refined (oh that amazing pea plan...and the chef will give you his recipe!) the service is attentive the setting adult and lovely and the noise level low. I don't usually go in for hotel dining rooms, yet I'd go out of my way to dine at South Gate.

I loved it
One of the best new restaurants in the city. I eat out a lot, but often do I find a place that I could go to over and over. The service is seamless, the drinks are refined, and the food uses the freshest ingredience in conservative, yet inventive ways that have to leave you nothing but impressed. Too bad word hasn't really gotten out about it yet I hope it does well.
