Things have changed
One things for sure its still a hole in the wall, tiny place whatever you get you have to get it to go. The soup was good, I had the chicken and corn cowder. You still get a banana, but the bread is now 2 packs oyster crakers which and now it all cast 6 dollers. Not to bad a guess.

Fabulous hole in the wall
Soup and Smoothie Heaven is a block away from my office, and a lunchtime favorite. Their smoothies are good, but their soup is the main reason to go back. They give you a very tasty, crusty hunk of bread with each medium or large soup, and a free banana! All for under $5 (for a medium mid-price soup). A nice treat on a cold New York day. Their sandwiches are worth a try, too. There's no place to sit, and the line can stretch out the door sometimes, but the staff is fast and polite.
