Love Me Some Healthy Food
For all you healthy food lovers out there Souen is a delicious treat. Serving the freshest and healthiest ingredients you are sure to be delighted. The food is the main attraction at the restaurant and the restaurant itself is an understated and fitting venue. Prices will not break the bank but you do pay for the quality food you receive.

I am one of those people who enjoys healthy food, but not the kind that tastes like it just came out of the ground--so this was not my kind of place, but if you are into that old-fashioned, stimulation-in-moderation style, and are more concerned with the yin and the yang in your food than the taste and texture, here's your place. The above title was inspired by the mushy, bland plum dessert my boyfriend and I shared there. We just had to laugh when we I commented it was just like eating gourmet baby food. Left hungry, bored, and ready for naptime.

Great Food, Service So-So
Everytime I come in here I see one of the waitresses eating- while she's serving. I've seen her speak with a customer with food in her mouth and holding food in her hand. Besides that, the food is great.

Good Food, Poor Attitude
I have been eating at this restaurant for year, but only recently started ordering delivery. They don't tell you it's a 15% delivery fee when you order and expect you to know that. If they send you the wrong thing, they don't care and tell you you need to come and pick up the replacement. I expect that kind of attitude at a 5 star restaurant, not a local macrobiotic eatery. Not sure I want to give them anymore of my money.

best restaurant in city
Souen serves only the best ingredients: the freshest vegetables, hearty homemade meat-substitutes, and delicious, creative sauces. Also excellent, naturally sweetened desserts. If you prefer to eat real food, and especially if you'd rather cook for yourself than risk the uncertanties of what's behind the closed doors of most restaurants, you'll realize you're getting a good deal at Souen. The food is prepared with care and respect, and it's damn delicious. Also, there's a range of options as far as size and price go. Macro bowls with grains, veggies, beans, and sea veggies for something like 6 bucks. Great specials.

Good
Delicious. Reasonable. Healthy. I love Chirashi Sushi.

Although the food here is good the prices are unbelievable given the portion size! I ordered SIX dumplings, which cost about $8.50 and when I got them... well, I only got one. The six dumplings described on the menu were so small they equaled the size of one, maaaaaybe two dumplings that you would get anywhere else. For $9! I dont care how "good" it was. It wasn't that much better than anything else I've had and for this price, I wont be back again.
