Best pizza in the neighborhood
We tried all the restaurants that deliver pizza in the Brooklyn Heights area and Sosta was our favorite. Great toppings and the best crust by far. We have not tried the other dishes but the pizza is very good.

It's okay...
I want to support a new neighborhood restaurant and they're all very nice there. The atmosphere and decor are nice, too. The appetizers were good (vegetarian plate & salad) but the main pasta was quite bad (I can't understand how you can charge $18 for a dish and overcook the pasta....and it was swimming in oil without much taste) The pizzas looked good, though I didn't try it. Not bad - just not great.

A mediocrity in a decent setting
The atmosphere is fine. Sosta has a small backyard space that is a nice place for dinner on a comfortable summer evening. The food falls far short. Sosta's lentil soup was too salty. It probably was the saltiest lentil soup I ever tasted. The margherita pizza was disappointing because the middle 1/3 of the crust was soggy. That is inexcusable in a small, $12 pizza dished up by a joint whose menu includes about 12-15 different pizza iterations. A side note: The staff was welcoming when we arrived. The server clearly was unhappy when we didn’t order alcohol, and attentiveness then declined. Hey, waiters, I get it, you want customers to order booze because it bumps up your tip. But not everyone drinks (recovering alcoholics, folks on Rx drugs, people with liver problems, diners who arrive drunk). Get over it and treat paying customers decently anyhow.

By far best food in the area
Have eaten in a lot of the restaurants in the area and this is by the far the best option. Great atmosphere- very cozy, warm and friendly. Staff was really friendly and responsive. Food was WONDERFUL! GREAT pizza. The quality and freshness of the ingredients are top-notch. Fantastic wine selection and very reasonably priced. Salad with goat cheese was excellent but the real star is their pizzas made in brick oven- thin crust, very authentic Italian, salty buffalo mozarella, freshly sliced prosciutto, crisp arugula. HIGHLY recommend!

Excellent pizza! Fantastic atmosphere!
Just had dinner at Sosta for the first time. We arrived at 7:30 on a Saturday night, and I'm glad we got there so early--the place totally filled up by 8:30. Super nice neighborhoody atmosphere, wonderful service, HUGE glasses of wine, and delicious pizza. My husband started with the carpaccio, and I had the antipasto Italiano--a plate of Italian cold cuts--then we had two individual pizzas. Food was simple and delicious. Wine and tip brought the bill up to a little over $100, which is more than I usually pay for a pizza supper, but I'll definitely be back: it was that good!

good stuff
Finally stopped in to try this place, was very pleasantly surprised. Ironically, I didn't even have the pizza--they had a pasta special that night, with mushrooms and taleggio that was truly delicious. My wife had the burrata pizza and enjoyed it very much...ingredients used here are clearly high quality. Overall, a very nice experience, great ambiance too--will be back.
