Unbelievable value
The stews are meaty and have excellent flavor but you simply cannot beat the beans/rice/2 empanada/soda combo. $7 for all of that - ridiculous portions, too! The beans have great texture, the rice the perfect amount of stickiness, and the empanadas are meaty and not too greasy. Totally legit. Love Sophie's!

Great Cuban food!
Great price and great food. Not much to say about this place except I love it! The picadillo is something I always look forward to and the Chicken Fricasee is amazing. The portions are huge and one meal is enough for two people.

Great Food
The food here is amazing. Never had anything bad... The portions are huge, so the price seems a bit pricy but they give you enough food for at least 2 meals.... Sometimes it is hard not to over eat becuase it is so good... The cuban sandwich is one of the best I've had.

I need a nap!
If you find yourself having too much energy during a work day and want to figure out how to slow yourself down, eat this food! They give you sooo much deliciousness that you won't be able to stop eating until you are forced to crawl under your desk for a nap. The Breaded chicken is delicious, especially with their green hot sauce, as is the ropa vieja. Highly recommend this place

Kinda greasy but delish!
The food at Sophie's is reliable. The rice and beans are top-notch and big enough to eat alone for lunch (maybe even for two days)... Their lunch specials for one meat with 2 sides are enough for two days. Overall great value for really good food.
