Frustrating...
Go early if you're going, because this location is a feeder from the main location and seems to run out of food. I ordered a sandwich, was told to wait, was still waiting 30 mins later and was eventually told they'd run out of breads, etc, as I was waiting. Rather frustrating experience, and it's probably an exception, but I won't be going back.

Excellent Food; Excellent Staff
We took a group of 34 college students to the Lexington location and all went smoothly. Most of us were Hispanics (picky about Latino food) and LOVED the food at Sophie's. The prices were great as well - you can't find better Latino food for the price anywhere in midtown. The staff were very nice, patience and accomodating. The place is cute. We were very pleased with the experience.

left wanting so much more
I had high hopes for this place because I love Cuban food, but was greatly disappointed. I ordered the cuban sandwich. It was smashed on the panini pan for at least 3 or 4 minutes so it came out super flat and crispy. It didn't look good and it didn't taste good. I will not be going back.

Pleasure to order
Not only is the food great, but unlike a lot of places, they are friendly and helpful over the phone, taking their time with taking your order correctly. It sounds dumb, but sometimes it's nice feeling that you're a valued customer, even if it's just ordering lunch.

The Best Spanish Place in NYC
I eat at Sophie's like once a week. They have really good food for an excellent price. They give you just the right amount of food which isn't bad for $8.75 which comes with 2 sides. Their fried pork chops & grilled chicken are the best. The service is really quick also. They bring your food out in less than 30mins. So if you're looking for a place to fill you up Sophie's is the place to go. Its better than a restaurant.

Decent food, great deal
I really like ordering from Sophies. The food is good, there's a lot of it, and the delivery is quick and polite. Be aware though that despite what the menu says, Picadillo is NOT available on Monday's but on Fridays' instead. I love their spicy grilled chicken, their ropa viejo and their rice and beans. I order from these guys at least once a week.

One big meal
If you're looking for authentic spanish food, Sophie's is a great option in the area. It's a great option for lunch if you're really hungry and gives enough food to last for two meals. Their main deal allows you to choose a central entree and two sides or rice and beans + a soda. For around 8-10 bucks, it's a really good deal. The breaded chicken is my favorite and their fried plaintains are pretty good too. Service is fast and quick. Your food is ready to go unless you order a sandwich which takes a bit more time. I can't say much about the atmosphere because it's an in-and-out type of place. I love to go there when I'm starving and looking for an all in meal. Their hot sauce is fantastic.
