    Kind of bad

Just big gloppy plates of greasy food. I don't expect authentic thai at these prices but this stuff makes places like Beet or Mango look like the real thing (which they're far from being, obviously). Also seriously bad service. I guess it's so popular because it's so cheap but there are a lot of new places that are around the same price, so don't bother!

    Gone downhill

This place used to be good but after last night's meal there I doubt I'll return. Food was 100% mediocre and my noodle dish was actually a bit burnt. Service was poor. While I sympathize with a busy waitress, she was rude and kept forgetting everything we asked for. Atmosphere is dark and in its attempts to feel trendy ends up feeling sort of warehousey. That said, the food is cheap but I'd try one of the newer places on 5th avenue before I'd dine at Song again.

Great food, but ordering is nightmare

The food is really good, but if you order by phone prepare to encounter 15+ minutes of busy signals after which you are likely to spend 10 minutes on hold.

    Good LUCK for delivery

Trying to call at night is impossible. If you are lucky to get the phone ringing, they hang up sometimes which means you are stuck trying to call for the next half hour again. Still, cheap eats and not too bad.

    Typical Park Slopers

I don't live in the slope and pass several Thai restaurants just to get to Song. I've had food there/take out, easily, 100 plus times and I've never had bad service, never had a problem getting through, and the one time the music was loud I asked about turning it down and they did it happily. The food is great! The service is very good. And the price is unbelievable for the amount of food you get. They even catered an event for us and we had leftovers for days! I've been there on really busy nights where it's been packed and you can barely get out of the place let alone get in, and sure the ladies working the front are a little stressed but never overboard. Go alone and sit at the bar and have a great time or bring you friends and stuff yourselves in the dinning room. You can't go wrong! Give a fair shot before turning your nose up to one of the few gems in the neighborhood.

    Unfriendly hostess & servers

The food is good and the atmosphere is cool, but very unfriendly. The seating hostess is the most unfriendly of all, which is not the person I think the owners would want to have giving customers their first impression of the place. The servers are also never over firiendly, there are a couple who are very pleasant, but one of two equally as not. If the owners would address this, I would go back. But with all the choices in Park Slope, I don't need to spend my money at a place I don't feel welcome. Also, when I was there each time the music was way too loud.
