We just moved into the neighborhood from the east village. We were looking for a local thai place to replace the amazing one we left behind...this is definitely not it. I found it underseasoned and overly greasy. Guess I'll keep looking...

Song is actually a cousin of Joya, another Thai restaurant located on Court St. in the Carroll Gardens area. The menus are almost exactly the same with a few exceptions that have a more tropical taste-think pineapple. Given its relation (by owner) to Joya, I perhaps unfairly came into the restaurant with very high expectations. For whatever reason, the food just isn't quite the same. This is not to say though, that the place isn't good. It has a range of thai dishes that are in and of themselves, very good - and very affordable. The atmosphere is geared towards urban twenty and thirtysomethings and is great for a date. It can (and reliably does) get crowded and a little loud. The service can be a little slower on especially busy nights. The place is fun, without being overbearing. Great for dinner and drinks.

Bustling lively modern atmostpher with a nice garden in the back. entrees are cheap 6.95 but i've tried many of them and they are not that great. good value but if you are looking for great thai, other places are better

Well done. They have great food at good price. I love their mango salad and pad woo sen. They are popular so sometimes there is a wait.

This place is underwhelming. Great atmosphere but poor Thai food. I was disappointed more than once. I gave this place several chances, and they are not a winner.

Took a friend visiting from out of town there on a Saturday. It was packed, and I was expecting one of those sticky floor and table places that served awesome food. But no sticky floor, no sticky table. My friend and I were both questioning what the quality of the food would be because the place was pretty 'hip', but to our surprise the food was pretty good, the service was great, and the value amazing for the ambience, quality and quantity. Recommend.
