Excellent Kosher Food, Good Service
I ate at Solo last night and do NOT understand the recent negative reviews. The food was excellent and imaginative (try the chicken in a pot or the lamb). The ambience was VERY pleasant, with widely spaced tables and nice modern (but not austere) decor. The waiter was kind, attentive, and altogether terrific. Yes, the prices are on the high side--this is a Kosher restaurant. If you were looking for a cheap cheeseburger, this is not the place. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. How can a place that gives you a big place of hummus FREE to nosh on while waiting for your food be bad?

not worth the money
I went with my husband for my birthday and was really disappointed. First of all our table was wedge in between 2 other tables and I was getting knocked throughout my meal. When the waiter came with the menu he pushed and I mean pushed to order the most expensive steak ($68). We must have waited 45 mints for it to come out. When they brought out the steak there were no side dishes. I spent $68 on a steak and was still hungry after I ate it. Would defiantly not go again and not worth the money.

Too much money, too little everything else!
Went with 4 other couples. Waiter forgot to tell us the specials and seemed unable to handle a table of ten. The online menu is different from menu we were presented with. We all had complaints about the food. Too salty or not cooked to specification or not prepared as told it would be. Salmon too fishy. Returned salad because I couldn't stand how salty it was and I am usually tolerant of salt. Maitre' d rude. Told us that he would get the chef and kick his ass in front of us, if that would help. Is this the way to speak to your customers? The only good thing about the place was the company we came with.

TOO EXPENSIVE
the waiter pushed pushed for us to order the $68 cowboy steak it was pretty good but very overpriced and came without veg or anyhing. The service does not equal the high prices charged here.

Still Hungry
Horrible service. We saw the waitress once, when she took our order. The food was okay but not comparible to the prices. We literally went to eat after having (A so called) lunch there. Spent 40 at Solo and then another 10 at Europa.

Not good
don't take the Tuna carpaccio it's not good at all, the service is way to long, the bread is the only good thing!

Wonderful Date Night!
We went to Solo last night for my fiance's birthday and I have to say it was absolutely incredible. Great service, nice atmosphere, and the food was phenomenal. He really enjoyed the sweetbreads and the special for his main course. My favorite, by far, was the porcini mushroom soup. I definitely recommend it. We met Chef Hung, who came to the table and was very friendly. Overall, I feel that for special occasions it is completely worth it. We had a great night!
