Had a great evening!
The general manager, is an unbelievably knowlegeable and interesting guy. He received our group with such grace and ease, and our evening was cozy and fantastic. While he acts humble, he has an incredible expertise on at least two of the most important things... Spanish food and Spanish wine!

Best spanish food we have had in a long
We had dinner there last night with another couple and all of us loved it. We also liked how spread out the tables were. We could have nice conversations and lots of laughs. We can't wait to go back and we will several times. As for other dinners complaining about cost , I would like to say to them what good restaurant in NYC isn't expensive.

Bien!
The food was good but the portions were small. The service was very good. Would go again.

Perfect
My fiancee and I are fanatics for spanish cuisine. After trying several other places, Solera easily stands out as the winner. Amazing tapas, that melt in your mouth. Delicious and well portioned entrees. Service the was readily available, but nonintrusive. The tapas bar up front was well decorated. The rear dining area was nice. Definitely the only place to go for spanish food in NYC.

Where Spaniards dine as Spaniards
I have dined at all of New Yorks Spanish restaruants and many others aroud the country yet Solera in NYC remains the only restaurant, (along with its sister restaurant in Irvington, NY,) where the cuisine is true to the culture. None of the classics are "gringoed" or "americanized" maintaining a true Iberian Cuisine. I found the wines and sherries a compliment to all the dishes and desserts reminding me of home.

Good food
This place is not an authentic Spanish food restaurant. It has international food.
