As someone who works in the area, i have been looking forward to trying sole di capri. It appeared to be a cozy oasis in the area. I could not have been more wrong. I went around 8:30pm on Fri evening. Since there are a handful of tables, i waited briefly until one became available. I was eventually seated at the back. I ordered a glass of wine and the linguine in squid ink. As i waited, i asked the staffperson(tall male with glasses) for some parmesan cheese to sprinkle on my olive oil. He sprinkled a minuscule amount. I called him over and requested some more. He literally hesitated and objected to doing this. He then grudgingly changed his mind and sprinkled some more. As i finished my meal, not once did anyone inquire about my level of satisfaction. For the record, the linguine was adequate; the amount of squid was practically non-existent. I am careful about how I spend my meager discretionary income. This was a waste of money.

So glad I brought a friend to lunch here, after countless dinners I adored. I've always loved the atmosphere because it feels like an escape even though you're right on Church street. For lunch it is a little bit different because the street, being brighter than the interior, is harder to ignore. But still we admired the charm of the place. Food and service couldn't be better, and the prices quite reasonable.

I've eaten here at least 50 times. I love it more every time.

We ordered in and everything was too salty! From the soup, to the manicotti, the pasta bolognese.. Salty and inedible. Chicken paillard was dried out and almost tasted like jerky. I really wanted to like this, but we will not be eating here again.

I dined here solo. What a nice little place. Service was excellent. Pasta was very good and so was the tiramsu. Everything was very fresh. Yes, it's a tiny cafe. Not for those who require wide open spaces to be comfortable. I found it to be cozy.
