Great food, intimate and fun, a little noisy

I give Sojourn a high rating

    Not Good, Micro dinner portion

First time ordering from Sojourn, based on the reviews I was expecting really nice dinner. However it was not. I ordered roasted salmon and hand cute fries, thinking nothing could go wrong with such a simple order. Delivery was promp within 20 minutes. The roasted salmon was ok but it was the smallest piece of salmon I have ever received for a dinner order, I eat salmon very frequently from all the best restaurants on UES and have a good idea what a dinner portion should be. Just for comparison,This salmon cut was smaller than the size of a White Castle bun, surrounded by some mushrooms and string beans. The Salmon was ok, nothing special but too small to actually review! In any other restaurant this would not even qualifies as an appetizer! The hand cut fries were way to soggy to eat and seem like they were just reheated in a microwave. So I order dinner but what I got was maybe a kids meal. Over all, Very disappointing and disrespectful.

    Unusually good seasonal food

Great quality, a little pricey, but it's worth it. The food is unusually good and the menu changes with the season. Try the Red & Golden Beet Napoleon, the Squash soup, the lamb meatballs or the great Pork Sliders (somewhat sweet, but spicey). On-site atmosphere so-so, but great for delivery. Just sorry they dropped the Soft Shell Sliders.

    Interesting menu & quality ingredients

Delicious foods and varied choices. Prices are not low but the food is worth it. Loved the Black Pasta Arabiata with Lobster, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Roasted LI Duckling with figs & mashed potatoes. Quality ingredients and well seasoned. The Arabiata was perfectly spicy yet it allowed the lobster flavor to shine through. Duckling juicy and roasted to medium rare perfection. Can't wait to try more. Delivery is prompt and polite. Used take out and have not visited the restaurant so I gave it a neutral 3.0 atmosphere rating.

    Delicious

What a great spot on the UES! Great place to have a drink, relax, and eat some great food. I came here with my husband and we had a cheese plate and meat plate to start which was amazing! Then we shared the Long Island duck which was out of this world. We finished that quickly and ordered from Kobe beef sliders! Yum! The burgers were so cute! I will deff. be back for more!

    Amazing food

This place is my new favorite spot on the UES. I just moved into the neighborhood and have been browsing around trying different restaurants in the neighborhood. Sojourn is by far my favorite spot. The food is amazing. I am also big on wines and this place has a huge selection of wines. The crowd is so alive. The whole idea of the sharing menu is something I love because I can eat different types of food. I am not restricted to one type of food. I came on a saturday and the place was packed so I advise anyone who wants to go to make a reservation. Also, the duck spring rolls are out of this world! Chicken Satay is another dish to die for! The dish that really had me sold was the sesame crusted tuna. Also the service was on point which is a must for any restaurant I got to.

    Still hungry

Seemed like the whole menu were only appetizers. Way to expensive for such a small amount of food.
