A lovely one
i just went there tonight(November 04 2006) and i liked it. The food was great, the staff were friendly although they need a little bit improvement on how to serve better. What i really like about this place is that it's clean and neat, the food is great and reasonable price compared to other places.and they use cloth napkin which is great!!! I hope they keep up thee good work and improve more. Overall, lovely place to go and hang out!!

Disappointed
I went there with my family on Oct 22, 2006. We were served late and I was served even later. They had forgotten my meal. I had to remind them about my food. The server did not come by to reserve our tables with water. I don't know if they were short-staffed or what. I will not be going there again. The atmosphere was pleasant, everyone looked happy, maybe it was to hopefully get their food and leave soon. I hope this restaurant reads their reviews and begin to work on their weaknesses.

Poor service
The food is pretty good, considering it's not one of your mom and pop restaurants where you go to get food that taste closest to your grandmothers. The service is another story from being given the run around on how long you may have to wait and not getting a wait time to the manager having a poor attitude, a server telling you watch your back instead of excuse me and lastly when asked how was your experience and you saying not good and getting a response of "I know you do." All I can is good luck with the service.

Go for the Pernil
The pernil (roast pork shoulder) is the size of a football and crispy/delicious. I love this place!

Good Puertorrican food
I love this place because of it's location. There is no restaurant like this in midtown. Food is great, I had a little problem with the service but they are getting better. This was my third time there and I keep loving it!!! Try the octopus salad, empanadas, mofongo and the fish was delicious!! everything great!!! Two thumbs up!!!

Islands in The City
Finally, great food from the islands (Puerto Rico, Republica Dominicana & Cuba). Although most of the food is considered "traditional Puerto Rican", the other islands make some variation of the same food. Try the Lobster Asopao......best this side of San Juan! In fact......all the food is great. Service needs a little improvement, but the delicious food makes up for it. To Annon : This is not food from Central America. Nor was the fomer Jimmy's a lounge. Long bar and, different, great food, yes!

Amazing overall
Great food, fun atmosphere, it's not too expensive. Great experience over all. The skirt steak with the rice is amazing!! and its only 12 bucks...
