    Completely Overated

Ive been there twice. first time was on a weekday they were pretty empty, however it took a long time for the food to come, however the food was pretty good. I went back this weekend and the food wasnt as good. the options were far less and they did not give me what I requested. My sisters fish was raw in the middle. When she sent it back they gave it back to her burnt. ( i guess there was no happy medium) The best thing on the menu is the mac and cheese OMG to die for!!!

    Amazing

The chicken and waffles (which I ordered) were wonderful. It got me so full, I had to take it home. However, it was really packed on Saturday night, so our food took almost a half and hour-45 minutes to come out to us. But the drinks, food, atmosphere etc we're overall excellent. Thanks to our waiter Rob :)

    Awesome

Awesome! Tasty Collar Greens/Great Mac n Cheese. I had fish and fries my girlfriend had chicken and waffles and her daughter had shrimp. All were awesome and flavorful. Service was great our waiter kept checking on us. I am definitely going back.

    Reservation

This place has a chance to dominate but always comes up with a failing grade with me and my friends. I made reservations on 3 different occasions and my wait time at best was still a hour and half . With me having no more than 3 guest me included. Waited to be seated waited at least another 15-20 minutes for a server to attend to my table then wait for appetizer to come b4 my drinks came so sad to believe . But I wanted to get up and leave every time but the atmosphere is so live that it captivates you but the aggravating part is after you get your food you will not see your server again unless you ask another server to tell your server you need assistance. They made me wait 30 mins to pay the bill. This process is well annoying. The menu has variety but the food is a hit or miss

    Not Impressed.

If you are used to REAL southern food, then this is not the place for you. The mac and cheese is sub par!!

    Not Bad.... Not Good Either!!

Seriously, these "rave reviews" must be from our ppl who are more into shnazzy atmosphere than quality, quantity, and authenticity of the food on menu. this was NOT soul food.... The best tasting thing we had was the Asian BBQ sauce. The waiter barely came over when it was only half full, but once he saw the tip I was leaving regardless, THEN he popped up 2x in 5 mins when we only saw him 2x for 45 mins prior. We had to keep asking him for basic things and he'd forget. OK- The food was just ok..... I ordered the mac'n'cheese like reviewers below said and I was like "Is this it?". I also had the pecan crusted pork.... Some dark brown sauce was on the yams like Mexican mole.... TOTALLY confused at their method of "soul fusion"... SMH.... I won't be returning, especially when The Fice Spot is only 2 blocks down and serves ridiculously DELISH Soul food.... REAL Soul food!!
