    eh

soba noodles were very good, but for approximately $18 a dish, i expected more. I got the cold soba with duck and the duck was not very good at all, and i was only given 4 small pieces. my boyfriend got hot soba with shrimp tempura, it was better than mine but he complained of his shrimp being "tough" and not liking it that much (how can shrimp tempura not be good?). the service was also very slow for no reason. doubtful that i will be back on my own merit.

    Best Soba In New York

When i was in Japan, i had soba noodles at least once a day at each town/village. I have visited over fifteen towns during my trip to Japan. I have to say that Osaka, Matsumoto, and Nagano have the best soba of all Japan. Soba Koh has the best soba noodles in all New York! I have tried soba noodles from all the famous places such as Soba Nippon, Sobaya, and etc and none have come close. Either their noodles were undercook or they were gummy (meaning they used to same water to cook batch over batch of noodles. Yuck!) The decor is simple and Asian modern to say the least. The anago tempura with cold soba is by far the best in New York. You can taste the freshness of the noodle that is handmade, not dried or store bought. The only criticisim i have is the portions are rather small and they are pretty pricey. I would also suggest that they add more appetizers and desserts. However, the price beats paying for a ticket to Japan any day!

    Great food, slow service

The food and prices are fantastic. Unfortunately the service is uneven and incredibly slow. Specifically, I found the mushroom kinoko soba to be great, and the fluke sashimi special was of high quality.
