I'm suprised at the last posting. To be honest I have family from out of town, and when they are here they prefer "Snice" cupcakes. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is always cool. No camplaints here on the baked goods.

Snice is a very welcome addition to the West Village-- which doesn't really have the vegan-friendly variety of the East Village. My only complaint with Snice is to improve their baked goods which are pretty unsatisfying. Vegan doesn't have to mean "tastes like cardboard" when it comes to a cupcake.

I've found that most of the staff is usually friendly in this very wooden, comfortable West Village spot. The sandwiches are consistently delicious, particularly the smoked tofu panini, which has got to be one of the best I've ever had. Big thumbs up also go to the tempeh reuben, the smoked tempeh wrap, and the Thai salad. Soups are generally very good. Muffins, cupcakes, and other sugary morsels are also risk-free indulgences. I warn that the apple muffin is a bit dry, as many bran muffins are, but I'm a fan of that texture and thus recommend it. The coffee is just fine. The place can get quite packed during lunchtime. Also good to bring a laptop and work.

The city has a trillion good vegan restaurants, but SNice is absolutely on my top 3. The food is fresh and delicious, the staff is awesome, the space is much bigger than I expected, with fantastic atmosphere. The BBQ Seitan sandwich keeps coming to me in my dreams. The cupcakes are heavenly. And they have GREAT coffee. A total hit.

I visited NY with a friend for a couple of weeks and by coincident we bumped into this friendly, colourful, nice smelling corner-coffee-shop annex vegetarian restaurant. The atmosphere is fine, it's an ideal place to write, if you are used to some noise. The muffins are pretty good. The buffalo-wrap somebody already mentioned shouldn't served any longer with this "salsa-saus". It's too dominant in taste. The salads were super. I returned almost everyday for a tea or a salad. So, a userrate of 8 out of 10, from a german-girl used to superb vegetarian kitchens in the Netherlands. Next time I definetly will return.

Snice is the perfect New york hangout. The staff is helpful, but not insincerely friendly, the food is wonderful and cheap, especially for vegan food in NY. The place is comfortable, with all kinds of characters. An all around great experience.
