Some People at 'SNice Are Not So Nice
I have been to 'SNice 3 times now, and each time, the food has been really tasty. I like their side salad that comes with sandwiches, and they have a jug of water available in lieu of purchasing a beverage. 'Snice! But this last time I went back, I encountered one of the rudest staffers I've ever met in an NYC eating establishment. And everybody knows NYC is not known for great customer service, so that tells you how bad this guy was. My friend and I finished eating, and when it came time to leave, they had suddenly become very busy, so we took our plates up to have our remaining sandwiches wrapped to go (normally a waitstaff will offer to wrap from the table, but we understood they were busy, so saved them the effort). But were they appreciative that we bussed our own table and brought our food up? No. In fact, as we tried to find a place to stand out of the way (we were very patient and considerate, I thought), we were rudely shoved-past by a waitstaff delivering food to tables, ignored numerous times as he walked back and forth, and when we finally said 'excuse me, can we...?' - the guy practically hissed 'just a minute', and gave us a nasty look. He finally wrapped them in foil, with an attitude, and handed them to us with his head tilted and lips pursed, and he huffed when I asked for 2 small paper bags to put them in - and he glared at me and gave me 1 bag. Thanks, and have a great day to you, too, dude! For some reason, when I walk into a vegan establishment, I expect there to be like-minded, peaceful and friendly people working there - is that so out of the question? It is at 'SNice, apparently. As we walked out, I wished I hadn't added cash to their tip jar when I placed my order, because that guy just got a portion of it for being rude to us. I can only hope that Karma will turn around and kick him in the butt.

great food, rude staff
s'nice is my neighborhood go-to for cafe-type food... i'm there at least 4 times a week. their salads are always great (quinoa & autumn salads, yum!) and the wraps are filling and tasty soy-substitutes for the vegetarians out there. baked treats are great too (recommend the date bars and vegan cupcakes). the staff are a whole different story. the staff treats most customers like they're pissed they have to work. no polite greetings, no smiles. overall pretentious and vaguely moody. the two cooks are always cheerful - maybe they should start serving customers as well!

Quality Vegan Food and a Staff to Match!
The 'SNice black- board menu speaks for itself. Can't decide? ask the staff for a suggestion. Always a pleasure to be served. And don't let the long line at the counter deter you. Carry your beverage, biscotti, and or soup to your table, and the Autumn Salad will be right behind. 'SNice even serves coffee in a tall glass.

Their constant changes to the menu are increasingly poor...did they get a new chef?
Over the past 3 years that I've been going to this snice, the changes made to the menu-- removing one thing and adding another-- are NEVER good. They've taken off so many BELOVED sandwiches (mediterranean, as below, soyvlaki, buffalo chkn, thanksgiving) and added so many horrible ones in return (general tso's, pot pie, thai sandwich, meatball hero). In fact, I would suggest that you go out of your way to avoid that list of new choices, but it actually wipes out a significant portion of the menu. If they keep changing their menu they will lose customers. Can't they just keep the good sandwiches and add a new one every season or two? I don't get it.

service needs some work
As a neighborhood vegan, I've been to S'nice many times and while I appreciate the dedication to healthy, vegetarian food, I generally find the staff rather abrupt and not very pleasant.

Bring Back The Mediterranean Baguette
I like Snice but they had an amazing sandwich called the Mediterranean baguette which they took off the menu. It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. When I called to order it last fall, they tried to steer me to the Chicken Pot Pie sandwich. Not the same as fresh and delicious feta, butter beans, tomato, cucumber and red onion in perfect proportion! Now that it's spring, Snice: PLEASE BRING IT BACK!

WiFi returns! Food tasty as always.
For all those lamenting the loss of WiFi at 'sNice, you will be happy to know that WiFi is back. I have eaten at the restaurant, gotten take out and ordered delivery often, and all experiences have been excellent. My favs on the menu: (soy) chicken pot pie wrap, curried cauliflower wrap, quinoa salad and thai salad. Their daily specials are also great (roasted broccoli is to die for!) Even if you are not vegan (I certainly am not) this is a great place for a light, tasty meal when you want to be kind to your body. Last but not last, don't forget to get a vegan cupcake for the road. Yummm
