Best Greek Food Outside of Greece

Snack is a small place and it can get tight. People get stressed when they are hungry and have to wait. Hands down it is the best greek food I have ever had! The people that work there are nice if you are nice to them. If you sit there for an hour deciding over the menu holding the waiters time then he will get annoyed as we have witnessed. Go there on off hours and you will get the service you'd like, although we have been there during a busy time and they are sweethearts.

    Not for delivery

I ordered from here today for lunch and it was supposed to take 45 minutes (which is slow to begin with) but instead it took over an hour. This after I had to wait a while on hold. Called back twice. Nobody really cared that I still didnt have my food. The spinach pie was excellent , but not worth the price of $9.25 even with 1 cold appetizer. The hummus wasnt good at all, and thats what I really wanted!

Hands down... one of my favs

I go to snack at least once a week and I'm never disappointed. Everyone there actually knows their food and they're always helpful. It's small and the intimate setting fits perfectly with the cuisine. It's a great escape from the typically hectic nyc restaurant scene.

I totally agree with the previous review... The food is great (or at least the lamb sandwich is great, and that's what I get every single time I order from here)... but the attitude is getting to be annoying. I don't eat their anymore because I couldn't deal with it. But I still order delivery... and even the phone call is stressful (they just aren't very nice).

    Only one complaint..

The people that work there are pretentious. The service is fast but not endearing or warm at all. The food is excellent.

This place is the real deal! There are only 4 tables so I went here at an off time for a late lunch and had no problem slipping in. The food is off the charts amazing! Had a spread of 3 mezze (hummus, feta w/ tomatoes, and yogurt/cucumber dip) - all amazing. Came with great olives and dolmades. Then had the pastitsio w/ greek salad and the spanikopita appetizer - yum! The only thing I wasn't super crazy about were the greek wines, but they weren't even bad - just average. The food was delicious, the service warm and quick, and the setting adorable. The menu is huge. So many things I want to try. Will definitely return.

Good Stuff for a Good Price

The salad that came with the pastisio was small but all the food was good.
