Went for lunch today after not having been in quite a while. The food was so incredibly mediocre, I couldn't believe it. Started with a greek salad and tzatziki. Salad - tomatoes and cucumbers were soggy and falling apart. Tzatziki had no flavor - no garlic was in there or salt or olive oil by my estimation. Just yogurt and cucumber. Bland. I ordered the keftedakia which were pretty good, nothing great. Lunch mate ordered the chicken sandwich which was completely disappointing. No flavor, chicken was dry. I think I'd even say it was terrible. Used to love this place. What happened?

The food here is wonderful. I highly recommend the avgolemono soup. The pies are also great, if they have the cheese pie as a special get it. And I would recommend to tip the appropriate 15-20[%] and not the greek way of 5-10[%] as another user recommended, you should always tip well for quality product.

Delicious salad, succulent keftedakia, cozy place, acceptable prices, and unfriendly staff. In a fine Greek custom waiters seem to be content with tips in a 5-10% range.

The Food was EXCELLENT but the servers and people working there are complete snobs...And this has been everytime I've gone...It's really a shame bc I LOVE the food but just don't go in anymore bc I don't want to deal with the staff...

Went on a friday night and yes the restaurant is tiny and may have a wait but you can leave your number and go to a bar and they'll call you back when they are ready. gentleman working that night was very nice helping with wine selection. wasn't great wine but solid. ideally a place for two people maybe three. started off with combination platter of tzatziki, tramosolata (don't recommend if you don't like fishy), skordalia, dolmadakia and hummus with pita bread. great choice for a little of everything. we also tried the spanakopitakia and tiropitakia, i thought was average. Keftedakia (meatballs) was awesome. its offered as appetizer or entree. if your crazy you can do both. we had as entrees a greek salad and the pastitsio - comes with another small greek salad side (beef casserole). greek salad is awesome. pretty much finished everything i listed. it was great. if you are not in a rush and want a nice comforting meal this is the spot.

My husband & I were walking around, looking for a restaurant on Saturday night & we happened upon Snack. What can I say, but that the food was fantastic - complex flavors, well-prepared, presented nicely. We had a great time, did not feel rushed, and the waitress was very nice. One of my favorite NYC meals, and I have lived her for over four years! I will definitely head back to Snack.

Snack is a small place and it can get tight. People get stressed when they are hungry and have to wait. Hands down it is the best greek food I have ever had! The people that work there are nice if you are nice to them. If you sit there for an hour deciding over the menu holding the waiters time then he will get annoyed as we have witnessed. Go there on off hours and you will get the service you'd like, although we have been there during a busy time and they are sweethearts.
