Love the food here, have ordered often and am always pleased. Until today when the snooty guy on the phone tried to blame the ineptitude of his delivery person on us. Even suggesting that after almost two hours of waiting that he could send the food out again, but we should take care of the delivery person since he "was really inconvenienced". Funny, I thought we were the customers!

went here recently with friends. service was very good, food was very good, place was small, noisy, and i thought expensive for a little local neighborhood place. the assorted appetizer plate @ $18 wasn't really big enough to share for 4 even with additional appetizers. Maybe I'm just getting old and remember the days when you took home part of your dinner because you couldn't finish it.

So i tend to not write negative reviews as most people that are angry feel the urge to post. In this case i had to do it. First I must say the food is always top notch. I love it and order from there often. Today I ordered online and was told 30-45 minutes. Ok fine. An HOUR after the order was placed I called. "your order is about to leave should be 10 minutes". I said thank you and suggested to the manager that she change the estimated time they were quoting. She argued with me over my order being placed 55 mins vs an hour prior, and was outright obnoxious. In fact even hung up on me. Really?? I was trying to be kind to offer a suggestion. to sum it up, love the food, like the ambiance, but will NEVER order again because of this manager who decided to take my suggestion as an attack. customer is always wrong i guess.

Just had a marvelous dinner at this little gem. We, four, tried nearly every app. and small plate, and were just amazed at the quality and taste of each one. It was a perfect midsummer dinner. It was followed by three lovely dessert selections. It impressed us all, and will certainly be part of the permanent rotation.

Arrived with a reservation when place was empty. Host tried to steer us to a small, corner round table that obviously would not accomodate our party. (Table remained empty for more than 2 hrs). Server was nice and well informed. Food was good, but way overpriced and not generous. Can't see what the big deal is all about. The stuffed grape leaves were surprisingly good, but equal quality Greek food can be found elsewhere and for much less $$. Plus on a VERY HOT HUMID night, they opened the door and did not turn on the A/C. The restaurant is very small and when crowded, the overhead fans and open door did nothing to cool the place.

Snack Taverna makes everything from the freshest ingredients and with the utmost of loving care. It's hard to pick one item out as extra special, since every dish is. We love the Greek Salad, the vegetables, the feta is the best we've had. The rice pudding is amazing. All the dips, the bread. We could go on and on but I promise you, their food will delight the most sophisticated of palates. What's interesting is they are in Shopsins old space, where the food was slopped on plates and thrown down in front of you. Here everything is exquisitely prepared and presented. We get food delivered from them frequently and that too arrives beautifully presented and quickly.

I used to LOVE Snack Taverna, but recently both the food and the service have gone way downhill. Went there last night and was basically screeched at by a horrific queen Maitre'd. The food was average at best, whereas it used to be like fireworks! I'm sad because Snack Taverna was my favorite place to bring dates and out-of-town visitors. Oh well, on to the next!
