    Fantasic! Check it out

Rarely do I review restauraunts, but Snack is excellent and deserves the support. 1st time there Sat night for a 10:15 res and the table was waiting. Service was excellent throughout. Calamari is the best thing we tasted, but everything was delicious and reasonable. With wine and two small plates each about $50/person with tip.

    comin' in from the cold..

it was a rainy dark Thursday and a girlfriend and I ventured out into the inclement evening.. and came upon this little beacon on warmth and friendliness. Minimal decor, exposed bricks and mirrors... and filled with patrons partaking in exuberant conversation over tables covered in a mosaic of "small plates" (which are actually pretty hefty in portion!). We shared a beet and butterbean salad dressed in a lovely light vinaigrette. The melange of mushrooms with orzo was delectable. I was very impressed by the food- and I'm generally not all that interested in Greek food.

    Favorite Little Neighborhood Gem!

I live across the street and visit Snack religiously once a week, and when I can, twice a week. The food is fantastic (try the crispy cod cakes, excellently flavored and perfectly crisp on fresh pullman's bread which is just the right amount of crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside topped with watercress and lemon-caper mayo that is mouthwatering), the staff is delightful, and the ambiance is easy going and relaxing. This cute little unassuming West Village staple is one of my favorites!

    A real treat!

Went here for lunch the other day and we enjoyed our food. I highly recommend sampling some of the small plates- pita with eggplant, grape leaves, feta. This place feels and tastes real authentic. Save room for dessert!

    Addictively good food

I crave their avgolemono soup on a regular basis - it's the best I've had in the city. That plus the grilled vegetable platter is the perfect lunch. Service is always welcoming and friendly - they remembered me on just my second visit, and have never forgotten me since. It can get a little loud when the restaurant is full, but that's to be expected in such a tiny space.

    Impeccable Service

Normally I don't write reviews of restaurants, the last thing I need is to find my favorite neighborhood spot jam-packed on a Sunday afternoon just because I spilled the beans about how great it is but after having read the other reviews of Snack, I felt I had to say something. I have been eating at Taverna for quite a while now, I enjoy their dinner menu and love bringing out of town guests in for brunch as well. The food is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is comfortable and warm but most importantly the service has always been knowledgeable, attentive and welcoming. Regardless of how busy or not-so busy the room is, I always feel my guests and I are being taken care of. Not once have I ever felt anyone working there was rude or impatient with me. I live in the area and can't imagine not having the friendly faces at Snack to greet me on any given Saturday with a glass of Retsina and some taramosalata. I hope that other diners will take my words to heart and treat yourselves to a fabulous and authentic Greek feast the next time you're on Bedford Street.

    Rude Staff

Had brunch there December 20th there were 3 other tables with people, otherwise empty. I've been there several times but this time the service from the waitstaff was almost insulting. I love their poached egg with the lamb thats the only reason I go there. But after this experience, they have lost a fan. (You'd think with the economy in the crapper they would do a bit more to keep customers because if they dont they might have a 'FOR RENT' sign on their door soon).
