The only way this could be considered "good Mexican food" is if you've never had good Mexican. Seriously. The "chorizo" is a spicy italian sausage that they slice on order. The asada is unremarkable. Then they top the whole thing with shredded white cheese and put it in a blue corn tortilla that instantly breaks apart. Maybe this is the good taco in Finland...

Must have walked past here everyday with the dog who made me stop because of the lovely street-grill aroma before i actually sat down. Intimidating if you haven't tried it because it's literally a counter on the side of the street...like a taco shack at the beach. This is actually really refreshing though. It's almost impossible to come here and not at least smile and share small talk with the person sitting next to you and the whoever's making tacos behind the counter-but if you're not in the mood you can always take your taco elsewhere (ahem..reviewer below, don't be expecting someone breaking themselves to wait on you, its causal and real and some ppl have bad nights). And they are so good (the tacos), actually healthy (compared to what else is out there). And CHEAP! Amazing. So glad i live down the block. Watch out for the spiced coffee though, it's not for everyone.

I have been wanting snack dragon ever since I moved the east village! We finally stopped by last night and were turned off by such rude service. The tacos were good, but try not too look so miserable and be so rude serving me a $4 bite sized taco. I think the one of the girls was far away in an alternate universe.

I LOVE the tacos at tis place! The service is always good and the workers are cool. I never know when it will be open and I can never call to find out before taking a walk there. Thats my only problem with this place. But the food is always on point!

Tacos are inventive and super delicious. Definitely unique and unlike any other I've ever had before (I am a huge taco fanatic from California). Love the grilled sole. My husband and I order them to go on a regular basis. When I'm really hungry these tacos totally satiate, Snap Dragon rocks.

I have to say, after reading the rave reviews here I went all the way over to the snack dragon with my bf and I was dissappointed. First of all, the guy who said he knows Mexican food is mistaken. These are not even close to real mexican tacos. I will say though, they are yummy, both the chicken and beef were really well seasoned...but the blue corn tortillas totally fell apart and there was so much cheese and sour cream that it was a mess. I can see how hitting this place after a night of drinking would make someone think it is the bomb. But in a sober reality it is just ok. If you want real tacos go to the "Super Taco" truck after 6pm on the South West corner of 96th and Broadway (If you live on the UWS, they deliver!) Now that is a banging taco.

all i have to say is hats off to this place. bangin food all around...cilantro...blue corn tortillas...skirt steak! yummmm...now i just want to go out on the l.e.s. just to get some snack dragon at 2-4 a.m! amazing!
