Didn't really like the food...
The place is very nice, good atmosphere, but the burgers we ordered where very dry and overgrilled, and we asked for medium. Maybe they have better dishes, but I wouldn't go for burgers, Nice place to have a beer thought.

Great place to drown your worries
If you want class, this ain't the place. And that's just why I love it! Magner's and decent beers on tap. Attractive and polite waitresses. Gruff bartenders and bouncers. Greasy, heart-cloggin' food that you can eat while laughing at the no clue people seated around you who ordered salad. And, best of all, no pretense. Just beer, booze and belching. Amen to that one, brother!

Cool Place
It has by far the best calamari I've ever tasted in the city. The food is solid, to sum it up the place "it's trendy without the pretense. " Service rocked!

Not recommended
I always pass Smith's on my way to the Port Authority after work and wondered why such a cute place was always so empty. Now I know why! My friends and I decided to eat here for lunch before seeing a show being that the original restaurant we wanted to go had a long wait. What a disappointment! The four of us ordered the typical bar food like chicken fingers, burgers, salads, etc. and everything was subpar. I would not recommend this place.

A great place for Corned Beef on St. Pat's
We happened in last St. Patrick's Day after arriving in the city late from upstate. The music wasn't as loud in the dining section and the food was served quickly, correctly and hot. The corned beef and cabbage was very tasty and we had hardly any wait for a table, though the bar was still going strong. Go here for the food, not the atmosphere (except on St. Paddy's!)
