    Cool Place

It has by far the best calamari I've ever tasted in the city. The food is solid, to sum it up the place "it's trendy without the pretense. " Service rocked!

    Not recommended

I always pass Smith's on my way to the Port Authority after work and wondered why such a cute place was always so empty. Now I know why! My friends and I decided to eat here for lunch before seeing a show being that the original restaurant we wanted to go had a long wait. What a disappointment! The four of us ordered the typical bar food like chicken fingers, burgers, salads, etc. and everything was subpar. I would not recommend this place.

A great place for Corned Beef on St. Pat's

We happened in last St. Patrick's Day after arriving in the city late from upstate. The music wasn't as loud in the dining section and the food was served quickly, correctly and hot. The corned beef and cabbage was very tasty and we had hardly any wait for a table, though the bar was still going strong. Go here for the food, not the atmosphere (except on St. Paddy's!)

    The Place to Go

We fell upon this place after coming out of the Westin - the music was blaring out and the place had a good vibe - we all decided on beer and burger for $9.99 and it was fantastic. The service was fast and efficient and the music and atmosphere excellent. During our stay we ate breakfast here every morning due to the good value and pleasant waitresses. If you're a first timer to NYC don't be put off by going into what you would class as a traditional NY bar - be a devil and go in - you'll enjoy
