    S'MAC is underwhelming

I went to S'MAC with very high hopes, as I love Macaroni & Cheese. When I arrived, there was a long line and a crowd of people crammed into a small space. The decor is cute, the owners very friendly, but let's get down to the food. The "All-American" mac was good....not great, and the Gruyere was unpleasant (and I am a big fan of Gruyere). The taste is just "off". You'll have to see for yourself. All in all, definitely not a destination place, and I would only go again if in the neighborhood and order just the "All-American."

    A great idea, but ...

I went there with friends last night and was greeted by a line out of the door. They clearly are still experiencing their opening rush. After about 50 minutes, we all ordered, and by the grace of god, managed to snag a table. We were all starving and eager to dig into our plates (we each got a different one). Unfortunately, the mac and 'cheese' was not worth the time or the money we spent. It essentially was a hot plate of unseasoned noodles, in a cream sauce, topped with breadcrumbs. No real cheese to be found anywhere! When I eat Real Macaroni and Cheese, I expect strings of cheese leading from my fork to my plate. I expect tasty noodles that aren't mushy. This place was a great great idea, and the owners seem quite nice, but they have a ways to go.

    Best Mac n Cheese

This place is great! Completely worth the wait. Went with 3 friends and ordered 5 mac n cheeses. Each one was better than the next. Anyone who says they love macaroni and cheese must try this new place.

    Good, but not the best

The mac and cheese is good here, but not the best I've ever had. It definitely could be a bit cheesier. I like the choices of pasta, however, and the option to have breadcrumbs. Overall, It was a very good experience, but I have to say Mama's on 3rd street is still the best I've ever had.

    Where's the CHEESE?

After waiting in line for over an hour, we finally made our way into the restaurant (which was about 100 degrees). When we finally ordered and received our food, it was a complete let down. The noodles were dry and bland. The "four cheese" dish was missing the most important part... THE CHEESE! It was a pan of noodles with sprinkled bread crumbs. Big let down. Not recommended.

    A bit disappointing

After salivating on line for an hour, I ordered 4 ‘nosh’ versions of the old classic. The 4 cheese, all American, veggie light and the Italian. Overall, the concept of a Mac and Cheese place is a great idea but I was a bit disappointed with the flavor! In the 4 cheese, the ‘Mac’ was missing the ‘Cheese’ and all the other dishes needed some salt or sharper cheddar to make the Mac and cheese a bit better!

    S'Mac My Kitsch Up

My gf and I went to S'Mac on what I believe was opening day. The line was out the door but I wasn't too hungry so all was well. Waited approximately 25 minutes on line, ordered and then waited another 5-8 minutes to get our food. I had the Cheeseburger M&C which tasted exactly like a Cheeseburger, actually very similar to Hamburger Helper which I used to eat as a kid except with elbow macaroni. My gf got the original, which could have been a little cheesier, but was still a solid skillet of M&C. The owner, Sarita, and her husband were extremely friendly and offered us a glass full of ice since the drinks were still a little warm. The restaurant itself was very hot, hopefully they will install air conditioning for their eat-in patrons because it was a jungle in there. If you don't want to try one of their specials, you can make your own with the ingredients that they offer in the specials. This place is definitely worth a shot, while it may not have been the best M&C I've ever had, it's certainly the most creative I've seen.
