    Cheap, ok food.

I used to order take out from this place on a weekly basis. The quality of their food is pretty disappointing. The hokkien noodles are clumped together, resulting in a rather sticky and unpleasant texture. On the upside, it's convenient.

    Great!

Awesome! The rendang is rich and spicy, the soups wonderful. Be prepared to pick out a lot of bones, though, they don't de-bone anything. Worth the trouble for the great flavors. Waitstaff sometimes hear the orders wrong, though, so be sure to point to the menu items when you order!

    What a disappointment

Skyway was recommended to us as the best Malaysian restaurant in Manhattan. We left it with a suspicion that we'd just eaten at the worst restaurant in Chinatown. The Malaysian staples - Chow Kueh Teow and Beef Rendang - were so bland, heavy and stale-tasting as to be simply unpleasant. The roti canai were passable at best. The spicy squid from the appetizer menu was unpalatably sweet and tasted faintly of some candy bar, and the lobak was gritty and bland. Honestly, not a single pleasant dish from around 6 or 7 we ordered. I've had better Malay food elsewhere. Sadly, I missed the chance to try decent Malaysian on my trip to NYC ending up in this stinker instead.

good malay food at cheap prices

pretty good malay food for the prices. the roti canai is not as big as other places but for $1.95 it's worth it. hainanese chicken with rice is average. the rice was a little soggy and there were a couple of bones in it from the chicken but other than that it was good. the chicken was not the best but it was better than expected for $3.95. the waitress was really nice and wasnt rude at all. ill definitely go back. (:

    I love Skyway!

This place is great! Lunch special $3.75. That's right, $3.75. Beef rangoon is excellent, as are the mee soups. Service is very good, and they can accommodate extra-spicy tastes. Very highly recommended.
