A fun Russian evening
15 of us had a wonderful time in this unassuming but wonderful local restaurant. The food, ambience, music and service was beyond what we expected and it was very reasonably priced. We all had so much fun dancing with local Russians. It is also possible to create your own menu for a large group. I would highly recommend Skovorodka.

pleasant evening
We like Russian food and we plane to go to Brighton Beach. We have excellent time . Food was great , atmosphere was wonderful, we didn't realise that 4 hours pass by. We recommended for quality family time.

Worth the subway trip
Have been twice now. Tried salmon tartare, vareniki, Ukrainian borscht, chicken Tabaka, pickles, and this terrific flatbread with cheese. Really enjoyed it. Everything was fresh and flavorful and seemed very authentic. Will definitely go back.

Great food
Took my wife and two kids there for lunch today. We were really happy with the food. Tasted great, was very very fresh and high quality. Staff were friendly and good atmosphere in the dining room. I will go back for sure when next in the area.

Just what we wanted
I went down to Brighton Beach for a Russian food adventure with some friends and we got just what we wanted. The place was crowded with a couple of big parties but they were able to squeeze us in. The wait staff was helpful as we tried to navigate the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious - pelmini, vereniki, pickled tomatoes, lamb chops (perfection), branzini, stroganoff, and garlic shrimp. For our first foray into Russian fare in this area, we were not disappointed.

Subpar restaurant service
. I was very disappointed. We had a party for birthday celebration. Party starts at 8.00 pm with a green salads and cold smokes. The first hot appetizers came at 10.00 pm and rest of the food after midnight when the half of the guests left. So the all meat dishes were left for doggy bags. Part of them, like Challahach, owners kept for themselves. I had to ask the manager, about 10 times, to keep serving tables that looks empty all the time. Creating the constant feeling that you are in the cheap food place. The manager required from me a tip payment of 40%.
