Yum
Yesterday a friend and I were in NYC to see a another friend perform at Carnegie Hall. We stopped in to this restaurant, for lunch, on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. Although the ambiance leaves something to be desired, the food and service were excellent. It's simply a good "old fashioned" neighborhood type of restaurant. I'll definitely go there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal around Carnegie Hall.

Not worth the money!
I placed an order for delivery. Not only did they get the order wrong but I was overcharged. So if you like to paying $30 for 2 average burgers and a manager with a poor attitude, then this is the place for you. There's much better burgers for a much better prices on the same block.

Fantastic Place!
We were in NYC for 7 nights and went to the 6th ave cafe every morning for breakfast. Had YUMMY french toast and fabulas bagels and cream cheese! There was very nice people working there and even gave me a mini milkshake on the house!

Begin Your Day @ Sixth Avenue Cafe!
We make a b-line for b'fast with each mid-town visit. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Very quick service. Personal favorites are the fluffy pancakes and the awesome omlets!

Old fasioned diner
Went for breakfast Labour Day Monday. It was packed and although we were seated rather quickly, wait staff was clearly overwhelmed. Anything we asked for, we had to ask at least twice so service was...well....not very good. But the portions were generous and food was quite good. A little on the pricey side.

My Kinda Hole In The Wall
As a native NYer, I visit the city from San Francisco four or five times a year. I always stay in mid town and always breakfast at the Sixth Avenue Cafe. This is an old fashioned diner; the kind of place I grew up with. Fabulous breakfasts with superb waffles. You won't leave hungry. Come a few times and they treat you like a regular. Smallish place but even when crowded they'll find a way to get you seated. Price is right too. Perfect location if your hotel is mid town.

Best waffles in town!
Honestly folks, this place has the BEST waffles we have ever eaten. It's a little place with virtually no atmosphere, but the breakfast is really really good. It is not a tourist place, seems like the folks that eat there eat there a lot. The staff seems to know everyone that walks in the door. Try the waffles for breakfast. Lunch is good too, but the waffles are to die for.
