Don't order the spareribs...
...I watched them throw them into the deep fryer. When I questioned this, she insisted that is the way they were made (so why do they call the barbeque spareribs?) This would make them tough and rubbery, so I walked out of there!

Be prepaired to be "tipping" more than expected on delivery
I have ordered from here a more than a few times and on the last few deliveries I felt my bill was a bit too much in regards to what I had ordered. Last night I made sure to ask the lady on the phone for the total. $15 no big deal, but when the delivery guy came he told me $17.80. I asked if he was sure and he said he was. When I asked to see the receipt he hesitantly gave it to me. $15 as I was told on the phone. I always give delivery guys a 20% tip because I know its one of the worst jobs in the city. A 35% through lying and stealing makes me question my choice in late night chinese delivery especially with the multitude of options in the area. Do yourself a favor and ask for your total before hand. Im sure the hardworking people in the restaurant would appreciate some of that 35% tip also.

Surprisingly Good
Considering this is Chinatown you would think that cheap, quick Chinese delivery would be on every corner. While there ARE many restaurants, most do not deliver. Six Happy is of the fast food variety of Chinese restaurants but the delivery is fast and the food is surprisingly good. The dumplings are plentiful, cheap and not the doughy kind you would expect. If you are looking for authentic food look elsewhere, but if you're looking for fast, cheap and tasty try Six Happy Kitchen.

Good for the area
It's surprisingly slim pickins for decent Chinese food this far east of Essex St. Six Happy Kitchen fills a void for greasy, yet tasty Chinese cuisine. It ain't much to look at, and the chicken chow mein simply is NOT chicken chow mein, but it's still good. Try the singapore noodles, chicken and broccoli, fried chicken (add your own hot sauce) and the friend dumplings.

dont judge a book by its cover
Even though Six Happy Kitchen's appearance may not be the best appetizing, when ordering take out on a late night where you know of nothing else open...this restraunt has never left me upset or angry. just dont have the chicken chow mein. everything else though is typical of what you are going to get 1030 at night for takeout. not super amazing, but when given the options, not a bad choice.

Consistently pleased
We get take-out weekly from here. It is consistently decent food. On the one occasion that it was unacceptable, I called to complain and they delivered a new entre. I find it to be better than most the others in this neighborhood, and much better than the ones closer to me on Grand St.

Good
The food in the restuarant is good. The service is good at the time when is not busy. I believe they will still serve customer as good as usual even is busy time.
