    You'll lurv it

When you get Lemon Chicken and the sauce is packed on the side, you know they care. You open a packet of fried chicken, and let it cool for a minute to let the moisture work it out. Fried food needs open air to crisp up, and BTW, separate sauce, to work. Furthermore, ya'll should show the soup some respect. It's delicious here. This place is quite good. It's a small place, but among the local best. Other Murray Hillers here know, just read the reviews. Do it darlin'!

Bland & Tasteless is more Accurate

Every dish we ordered from soup to entrees was completely bland. The general tso's chicken was mushy and tasteless. The lemon chicken which has the sauce served on the side, separate from the fried chicken was also soft. The sauce looked like lemon but tasted like water. The soup was also bland. I wanted to try a new place and saw all these good reviews - what a mistake and a disappointment.

    Ain't Nobody

Loves me better, makes me happy, makes me feel this way. Try it all - this place is so good for American Chinese - and a few authentic Chinese options too. First they put their arms around me, then they put their charms around me. Love it baby!! All you crybabies adios!

    Finally a place I like!

I've lived in midtown for over 3 years now and couldn't find a place I liked to order Chinese food from. I ordered from here because it was a place I've never tried. I'm so glad I did I loved it. My favorite's are the boneless spare ribs and the chicken lo mein. You should def try this place.

    Ordered delivery

Just ordered delivery. I had the general tzo's chicken lunch combo with egg roll. This is not the typical chinese place that a new yorker is expecting, the chicken was not the heavily fried and heavily msg sauced general tzo chicken that I have been used to for all my life. The ingredients are fresh and are on the spicy side, but mild more chinese that chinese/american with a schezuan traditional influence. The pork fried rice was good too but not the typical chinese lunch place that I expected. But the egg roll was great, and when I say that it was everything I was hoping for in a lunch chinese place. SO I would order again, but not the typical american/chinese dishes. This is not a good or bad thing, but a preference.

Go your own way and find a happiness

I agree with the reviewer below. Better to not recommend dishes since everyone likes a different style. I ordered the Singapore noodles based on a review a few down from here. Meh! Not something I would get again. They were fine I guess but spicy! I do however luuurv this place. Get anything with eggplant and you will know at least one of the six happinesses!

    Spread the word

I won't comment on specific dishes like some reviewers. I mean, I say fried, you say steamed. You say spicy, I say Alexia don't do that cause I need a fast break in the morning. But I will say this. This place is delicious. I moved here recently and thoroughly enjoyed this. The West Village? Like living in a furniture showroom with aloof sales people. This is a real nabe, not hoytie toytie, but dynamic. And so is Six Happiness. Your fortune cookie says "give it a try!"
