cheap and good! best value for the area. the atmosphere is not pleasant (so i recommend ordering take-out) but the food is good and very affordable.

Reliably good Indian food
I buy vegetarian lunches here 2 or 3 times per week, and have done so for years (Sirtaj has been in this neighborhood longer than I have, and I've been here 24 years). The dishes are consistently very good: well-spiced, flavorful, and good proportions. I always order brown rice, which has never disappointed me (it's a buck extra). I usually have Navratan Curry, Sag Paneer, or Kari (only on Tuesdays). All of the dishes taste rich but are not oily. I recommend all three. I also recommend the Chicken Sag (spinach with boneless chicken) and the Pakoras. The only negative about Sirtaj is the atmosphere: the place is a classic hole-in-the-wall restaurant. It's not dirty, but it is depressing: institutional tables and chairs, dismal lighting, awful artwork. I never eat there: I always get my meal to go.

Best Indian In the City
Sirtaj is by far the creme of the crop. The sauce is thick and rich and the portions are great. be careful. Eating here will ruin you for all other Indian. I can't say enough about this place.

budget indian delivery food
the quality and portion for the price and speedy delivery is just great for me. if you have any expectations beyond that, yeah you'll be disappointed. my favorite is the cauliflower and potato dish; its just delicious.
