Not for Desis
I went to this place looking for some authentic indian/pakistani cuisine but despite the rave reviews, I was terribly disappointed. The food was tasteless. We ordered the biryani, which was basically bland, overcooked yellow rice mesh with chunks of chicken. The chicken makhni was a little better but nothing like the mouthwatering treat this muglai dish is supposed to be. The parathas were a disappointment. We ordered the alu paratha which was again bland. Even if you are looking for something less spicy, I would'nt suggest going to this place since the food is tasteless, a waste of money and time. You're probably better off going to Handi.

Some franchise this restaurant!
I travel a lot and the the only downside to this is not having a Sir Taj in every location I go. This is seriously the best food I have ever eaten!

I dont know how i survived before i found this place
IMPORTANT- This is Pakistani food not Indian. If you are craving a home cooked meal this place is the best Manhattan has to offer. I usually order in twice a week. the portions are fairly sized and if you get an assortment of things you are good to go for a couple of days. Tip-dont ask for "extra hot" cause then they just empty out a bottle of chilli powder onto your order.

very reliable Paki
I order from Sirtaj almost every week. The value is almost ridiculous (that means lots of bang for the buck, silly). Nice man on the phone, no-nonsense operation (I can tell) and quick delivery. Food? Reliable, very reliable. No big surprise, no frills (sides are packed in aluminum foil) but for this Chelsea lad who can't get a break at those local snobbish eateries (Thai who?) it's all about Sirtaj y'all. Holla!

Consistently good
I go to Sirtaj for lunch at least once a week. And I absolutely love almost everything they have to offer. It's not a place you go to for a great ambiance It's self-service, and the people behind the counter couldn't be nicer. Anyone saying otherwise, is going in with completely different expectations. They're only offering good food. So if you are looking for a fancy place with bone-china and polished silverware, you'll be hugely disappointed.

very good chicken tikka masala
I work nearby and decided to test it out for lunch. It was really good. This dish was more spicey than I'm used to, but very flavorful. It was a nice portion for a fair price. Fast prep time too. Definitely worth trying.
