Excellent service, food & reasonable NYC prices

I have tried the BBQ shrimp, fra Diablo Shrimp, Ribs, Shrimp Fajita Salad & Chicken Fajita- all very good. The waiter is probably one of the most kindest and professional waiter's I have ever had. I also tried the margarita & Mojitos- very good. The Mexican Coffee is the bomb! Oh and the flan! Let's say.....Good!

    I Like This Place

Some friends and I swung by this place about 2 Friday's ago. It was my 2nd time but their 1st. All I can say is continue doing what you are doing. The food & atmosphere is great. My friends really enjoyed themselves as well. I'm looking forward at making the 3rd time a charm.

    Great place with delicious food!

Went here last night with a group of 6 and we all loved it! Cool place with nice decor, great margaritas, and we all loved our meals. I had the enchilada stack and it was fantastic! The service was very great as well as we had a nice and attentive waiter. The place doesn't seem too too busy, so it's easy to get in but I highly recommend it.

    Pretty Good

Had dinner here with my boyfriend for my birthday. Love the atmosphere- so many Mexican joints are so cheesy looking, but this place has a good vibe and looks cool. The bar is really beautiful. That said... it's not that spectacular. Granted, it's on a weird, quiet block, but we were there on a Saturday around 9:30 and it was... empty. Like, literally 2 tables and that's it. By 11 p.m., they wanted us out the door. Not really sure what's up with the little marker thing they put on your table either?? Kind of odd. However, the food is good- tableside guac was awesome- and the margaritas ruled. Would go back, but probably just on a weekday.

    Quiet little Sunday

A friend, her little man and I ventured off into this spot this past Sunday (9/26). I had been meaning to check out this place for a few wks now. It has this new age mexican flair to it that’s why is called Contemporary Mexican. Well we enjoyed the service and the food with no complaints on our end. Our wonderful table busser was on point w/ removing dishes and keeping our floured tortillas stacked. We will return and our suggestion is you should try this place for yourself and form your on opinion.

    Hip Neo-Mex joint in Midtown

I liked this place a lot. The space is much nicer inside than it looks from outside. The layout makes sense, and for once the bathrooms are spacious and not all the way at the back where the kitchen area is. The food is neither stylized nor rustic, but somewhere in-between. The portions are HUGE: my dinner rolled over to lunch the next day. The prices are more than reasonable. The lobster quesadilla did not skimp on the lobster, or anything else. The carnitas, essentially Mexican pulled pork, were nice and soft, with the right citrus accents. The Tres Helados dessert ended up being a whole bowl of ice cream, with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, etc. The flavored Cadillac margaritas are flavored the way that hard candy is flavored - slightly nondescript, tasting kind of like what they're supposed to taste like, but not really. Still, it's a nice, boozy drink for not too much money. The service could be better. My waiter was friendly and accommodating, but distracted, and prone to disappearing for long periods of time. But that's a minor flaw - I wasn't in a hurry. Not the best Mexican restaurant in Manhattan, but also not the worst, and with enough extras to warrant a return trip.

Awesome food and scene, poor service

I've been to this restaurant several times, and it is definitely the better Mexican restaurants in the area, but the service is not good! The waiters don't come by often enough, they are not attentive, and they often look disinterested.
