Go There Before It Closes
As a follow up the review below, I think the food has improved a little bit from my prior review and now is especially is a better value. Singa's has a Mon-Wed 1-topping for $5 special. Go there before it closes!

Inconsistent and Overpriced
While I'm a bit partial to Singas (Elmhurst location) because it was the first pizza I ate when I moved to this country, I have found the East Village location to be of inconsistent quality. The problem include the sometimes stale-tasting cheese, inconsistent topping portions and a few months ago I noticed that the price for a 1-topping pizza was now $8.75 + tax. As a regular I have stopped going because I believe it is simply too much to pay for the amount and varying quality of pizza in return. The staff is friendly and even though Singas doesn't taste like the typical NYC slice or brick-oven pizza, I think it merits a taste.

fresh hot pizza
Stopped by singas for the first time and was surprised they did not sell slices, only fresh personal pies. Was not that hungry for a whole pie but ordered it anyway and it was great! I love this place, very clean and amazing taste. Plus everything your order is made fresh for you.

Digornio's? No, it's Singas
How odd... The pizza at Singas is just like bad, frozen pizza - a round pie with a doughy, flavorless crust, bland sauce and covered in cheese (or "cheese" - who knows? this stuff didn't actually taste like mozerella or any other cheese for that matter). My pie came with sausage and the sausage was tiny, thin slices of something whose taste vaguely resembled sausage. If you told me that the sausage was actually sausage-flavored tofu, I wouldn't doubt you. In sum, this crap tastes like something you get out of your freezer or something you made in Home Ec class in the 8th grade. This is not pizza you willingly pay for. Maybe this is OK if you're in Kansas City or Omaha, but in New York, nope, sorry. I doubt this place will still be in business in six months.

fresh reasonably priced pizza.
i live around the corner from singas, its one of my favorite places to order in pizza from. If regular slices of new york pizza is your thing, singas isnt for you. Singas pizza is made with a special blend of cheeses in a personal sized pizza. 6$ is a reasonable price to pay for a rather large personal pizza. a slice these days is upwards of 2$, for 6$ you get 8 slices of amazing pizza. usually the wait is about 10 minutes, but its totally worth it when you realize the whole pizza is made fresh. Singas has this new deal for 4.99$ where you get half a pie, and either a side of fries or garlic bread and a soda. great lunch special if you ask me!

Overpriced
You are basically paying over $6 for a slice and a half ! The pizza is simply mediocre. Not worth it.
