Great for the price!
Very decent food, quick service, and excellent value. They have specials every day. How can you beat an $11 pasta dish or a $15 fish dish and a decent bottle of red for $17?? Plus free bread with olive oil? Tend s to be noisy and crowded at peak times and maybe a little dark and why cant you get the wine special at the bar where a glass is almost $8, and why no extra sides to order? But overall, a great value for the money. With some improvements could be even greater.

My new favorite place
A friend of mine recommended this place to me and told me he love it! I became a little hesitant after reading the last few reviews , but decided to try them out. My wife and I went here for a pre-theater dinner and it could not have been better. We shared a calamari, my wife had Chicken Marsala and I had the sausage and broccoli ravioli. Our waiter was very nice and the food came out quick. Now to the best part, the check, for the two of us the bill came to less than $60 and we had a bottle of wine and espressos. This is definitely going to be my new regular place to go for dinner and I can't wait to go back.

Service was poor
A couple colleagues of mine and I had lunch here today and were dissapointed with the service we recieved. We were seated near the window, and service was usually good except for today. The waiter was rude when taking our orders and when indicated a mistake was on the menu, he repsonded that he wouldn't care. Spoke with the maître d' later about what happened, and although he appeared to be listening, he also did not care. As I walked away, I was told that the maître d' said " I still don't know what the problem was". Clearly, he was more interested in shrugging customers' feedback away. My colleagues and I work at a major financial instituition nearby and agreed that we will not eat at that place anymore.

Excellent busboy, subpar server
Saturday night my friend and I ate at Simply Pasta, after having been there several times and have always enjoyed the food AND service, well, up until Sat. night. We were seated beside the window. Right from the start it was clear that our server would have rather been someplace else. His attitude was poor and while my friend left a generous tip I would rather have not left anything. EXCEPT for the busboy who was excellent, pleasant manner and really wanted to please us. We enjoyed our meal as we always do only because of the busboy who tended to our needs, we rarely saw our server.

Simply a nice place to eat
I had been passing this place by for a while. Recently my fiance' and I finally went there before seeing the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. I'm glad we went. It is dark and cozy for starters which I like. The food was very good for the price. We had the calamari appetizer , unfortunately for me the tentacles were missing (yummy). They were pretty good. The pasta we chose was the salmon fettucine and the Ravioli Di Astice (lobster). I would have preferred the ravioli with a pink sauce instead of alfredo. Overall we liked the meal. The only thing that we did not like was the service. Our waiter was lousy.

Great food and service
As a teenager I'm open to alot of things so after an optometry appointment my family and I decided to eat dinner and we came across Simply pasta. The place is empty and I've been there a few times. We get welcomed at the door, offered coat service and the waiters are friendly. I love the darkness and how the menu is in italian. Try the salmon alfredo. I love to go back everytime and so does my family.

I felt like in Italy
Went there last week. Couldn't have been better. As a Swiss guy that loves Italian food, I felt as if I were in Italy. The food is delicious and the service is very friendly. The prices are a little bit higher as usual but absolutely worth it! I defenitely will come back!
