Silver Star

I used to come here often with my old girl friend so my opinion is slanted towards the positive. The food and service was dependent on the day. Some days this is a fine diner. If you go when it is crowded on a weekend the service and food suffers. An example: they will chop your salad on a week night but not a weekend. Very frustrating when this happens the first time.

I can't believe somebody complained about their omelettes as being too dry- I think they are the best! They aren't dry, but they have a little buttery crispy egde and they are HUGE. You can eat that thing as 2+ meals! And, my favorite, if you get the iced coffee it comes with some extra in a tall old school metal milkshake tumbler. This enables fussy coffee people to perfectly control the concentration of coffee- add a little more whenever it starts to get ice-diluted. One caution however- they have some kind of chocolate cake that i tried and it was not good and tasted like the fridge. Blah! I think if you need a good dessert, work off the coming calories by walking down to Buttercup Bake Shop- they have great cupcakes.

Silver Star is a place for the whole family to enjoy some time together. There hambugers are very good. You have to try the desserts.

This place isn't exciting or fancy. It's a good place to go to when you forgot to get the grocerys. Best for breakfast. Good food and a fair variety.

I had a burger deluxe today and it was quite good. Delivery was about 1/2 an hour and the price was to be expected! It was very convenient, recommended.

By necessity, I had to eat here a few times. My omelet was so dry that it was crisp. The only acceptable meal I have ever had here was the burger.

A good diner with good prices. Quick and convienient. Fair.
