Silver Star

this is one of my favorite diners in the city - good quality, great diner atmosphere and tastes just as good when you order in :)

I love this place. Good value and quality. My fave is the chicken souvlaki platter, and my husband likes the meatloaf. Tremendous menu (a lot to read, like most diners, but you can find anything you want and they easily accommodate you dietary needs). There are occassional off nights, but the service is mostly excellent. The atmosphere is clean and casual - perfect after/before a movie or shopping in the area. And the continuous, speedy coffee refills (regular and decaf) are a bonus (and they refill the water glass often too. We will continue to return again and again.

I go there when I am in the city with my family. The cheeseburgurs are very good and the cheesecake is the best I have ever tried! The service was not bad considering it was very busy.

We got the food delivered, and despite the astronomical prices - $10 for blintzes that tasted frozen - the food was bleh. Egges benedict drowned in hollandaise, ugly and bland.

I have been to Silver Star many times and all of the times I have went there was not problem. There cheesburgers are amzing and so is there cheesecake! The service is good and I highly recommend this resturant/diner to all my friends and they never complain. =]

My boyfriend and I are new to the city so we decided to give this place a try after a local recommended it. Our meal was mediocre, the service was not so good, and we felt that the food was overpriced for what we received. We have found a handful of other dinners in the UES that have better food, better service and are much more reasonably priced. Not worth the trip.

I go every time i am in the city. The food is always very good. My favorite is the cheesburger deluxe. The best dessert is the cheesecake. One of my favorite dinners!
